Like going back in time. This is really the only restaurant in Heppner. Cafe type menu and has pizza. Food is good. I had burger and chips wife had chicken sandwich. Both were good. People were real friendly staff and other diners. That is what makes this very small town special.

The diner is owned and operated by a wonderful couple that is dedicated to their family and community. They produce a fresh, and delicious meal made with love. Stop in and say hi, and ask John how the fishing is around the area.

This place is so much like home. You want a home cooked mean for a great place. This is the place! They opened early for our bicycle group and we all came and ate. I had the 3 slices of very thick french toast with maple syrup. Very good. 2nd time I have been here and it is still excellent.

Delicious home cooked food and generous portions. Many friendly locals having breakfast/lunch while we had breakfast. Homemade bread to go.

Always friendly, and the food never disappoints. Grilled cheese for the kids, brisket for the wife, father in law had a vegetarian meal, mother in law had a malt and I had the Brumby burger. Did I mention cinnamon rolls to go? All amazing. Highly recommend.

Where do I even start? My husband and I stopped here on our way out of town towards Portland. We had to kill some time in the morning until open at 9 am, but it was SO worth the wait!! My husband ordered a ham omelet, which came with hash browns and homemade wheat bread. The omelet was so fresh... More

I was very pleasantly surprised while in Heppner. It's a tiny town, with big charm. We ate breakfast there twice! The bread was fresh baked, and the hash browns are real! That's right, real potatoes, not frozen. The service was promt and friendly without being pushy.John, whose family own the diner, told me about his garden where he grows all... More

This was one of my favorite places on our 10 day tour of Northeastern Oregon. This family is warm and friendly, and they bake the best bread and buns. And the cinnamon rolls, especially the rhubarb/strawberry filled ones, are spectacular. Heppner is pretty small, and not a lot of choices, but this place is well worth a visit. In addition... More

I stopped for lunch in this little café/bakery. They served breakfast all day but I always like to try a chicken fried steak on the road and they deep fry theirs, a bad trend. Plus they buy it already breaded. They said the next most popular item was one of their burgers. But it was just a frozen puck which... More

The food was good. The family works together on keeping this restaurant business working. The french toast was very good. Small town home cooked meal. Thank you very much!
