This place has the best sandwhiches. Mine was grilled and I had so much left over I took it home. The atmosphere is peaceful. Sometimes you can get coupons out of tje clipper magazine.

I had the best clam chowder and fresh-baked bread ever! My daughter's hamburger came with homemade chips, which she did not eat, so I saved them for a snack later--so yummy!!
We stopped here as a direct result of other reviews and it was an excellent decision. As everyone has said - the mushroom soup was delicious! Loaded with mushrooms and creamy! The Reuben was good too and we were smart and split it. We went for lunch on a Saturday & didn't have to wait to be seated. Two thumbs... More
In town for meetings and the gal at hotel told us to go to Trufflehunters for the best dinner ever. Walking up the stair into the the quaint house we were excited as we had a noisy busy day and looked forward to a quiet, relaxing evening with good food and great wine. We were so disappointed. We ordered the... More
Have been here a few times and it doesn't disappoint. The first was on a Groupon. It can be busy with people waiting outside to get in. Staff is friendly and have had good service. The portions are good size and I haven't had anything I didn't like. The inside is setup like a house with different rooms which makes... More
We love this place for their sandwiches on homemade bread! Plan for a bit of a wait to be seated during peak meal times, and sometimes it's a bit of a wait to get your food and check, but to us, it is well worth the occasional wait. It's not fancy, but it has great character and food that is... More

The servings were large but the quality was below average. The atmosphere was completely ruined by a toddler running around the restaurant screaming, grabbing food off of other tables. They really should've asked to diners to control their child or take their order to go.
Living in NE Portland, I generally don't have a reason to travel all the way to Gresham. Now I have one. This place is absolutely outstanding! It's in a cute converted house, and the meals taste like something grandma would have made you at home. Huge portions, and don't forget to save room for dessert. The pies are equally delicious....
