There are so many reasons to go to cafe Soriah! First, the food: everything is delicious. I have never ordered. A dish that was not well prepared and just the right balance between creative and comfort food. As a lover of lamb, I love that there are often two choices of lamb, plenty of seafood, and vegetarian choices. I highly... More

We were in Eugene for the weekend and wanted to find a restaurant serving food we can't find in our small logging community in southern Oregon. Mediterranean food fit the description! This place downtown was fabulous! I had the Prawns Jerico and my wife had their Lamb Tumeric. Both were fabulous and prepared by the owner/master chef. I definite go... More

We are so happy that Soriah's is open for lunch again! My friend and I met there for lunch. Since it was a beautiful day, we sat outside which only added to our enjoyment of a wonderful lunch. Mary Dawn, our waitress, was very helpful to us as we pondered the menu. She pointed me toward the chicken curry. I... More

Our travels took us to Eugene so we scouted out something new for lunch and landed here. Sweet place. Very nice two-room dining room with a lovely backyard patio. Very cheerful staff. We opted for the shawarma which came with choice of two sides. We're used to shawarma as being freshly carved/shaved off a vertical rotisserie, usually served with a... More

I group of us went for dinner. I had their Prawns Naseem it's was really good. I'm not much of a steam vegetables person but it was enjoyable. It took us sometime to be served as they seem to be under staffed. The venue is small and nice for a date night. Would I go again maybe but it wouldn't be... More

We'd heard good things from friends and hadn't been to Soriah in years, so we decided to give it a try for dinner one evening. We were disappointed overall. First, I'll report that the bouillabaisse broth (though the weirdly yellow aioli was quite unappetizing) and ravioli were tasty. Another plus is that you can order half-sized salads. Biggest disappointments were... More

5 of us went on a Sunday night. We had reservations and my guess is another large party want on the patio. Our server took care of all the patio but the other large party. They have 6 heaters but could only get one to work. It was far from us. The food was ok. We had steak diane, lamb... More

Dining room had a nice atmosphere and the service was good. All service staff were very nice. Meals were less than good. My wife had the Steak Diane. The filet was tender and taeteful but the mushroom sauce was to heavy and salty, the mashed potatoes were also somewhat salty. My Sockeye Salmon of the day, crusted fennel was pretty... More

Unfortunately, my experience was similar to travelers like Fred B, safroncaterpillars, Christie 1950, and others who reported that a special occasion turned into a disastrous experience. Like Fred B our reservation was for 6:30pm, but unlike him, our party of seven went there on a Monday night when no events were happening in Eugene. When we arrived at 6:30 on... More
