A key factor in a restaurant experience is whether or not the place feels clean. That is particularly true when we're talking about uncooked food like sushi. The place was pretty dirty. The wait staff was well-meaning, but new and no one had done much training. The kitchen was understaffed and stressed, so food was slow. The food quality also... More

We were in the Old Mill around lunch time, so thought we'd give this place a try. We did, and wished we hadn't. It was seat-yourself, although an obviously harried waitress did acknowledge us after we sat down. Later on she scurried by, dropping off a few menus, then hurried off. After about 5 minutes, she came back to take... More

We went for lunch while visiting Bend. It was fairly empty, so it didn't take long to be served. The sushi seemed fresh and tasty and they had a very good variety of both nigiri and maki. I ordered "Black Tobiko", but when served, it was black masago, not tobiko. I don't appreciate substitutions without telling the customer.

we visited the first time a few months ago. the young waitress (perhaps was new?) had to be asked three times to bring napkins and silverware to us. we also had to ask for wasabi and ginger for our sushi, and finally got that, but only one bowl for two people (?). it took quite a while to get our... I really wanted Japanese restaurant so we googled Japanese restaurants and took a chance to patronize this restaurant. Wow, we did not know how popular it was. When we left, there was so many people waiting to be seated. They opened at 4 pm and we were there at 4:08. If you don't want to stand in line and want... More

We weren't able to order anything that involved cooking since the kitchen fan broke. So we had the sushi/sashimi combo for $20. Kinda of pricey as most sushi places are. Miso soup was included.

We had dinner at Mio Sushi. One checks a large menu for the sashimi and sushi rolls one wants. We ordered ours. We also had miso soup. With our meal, we had a Sapporo Beer. Service was just OK. Its an average Japanese American restaurant.

Mio has very consistantly good food. Every time we eat there, the quality and tastes are the same. This is our favorite Sushi Restaurant in Bend!

We ate at this restaurant tonight. We ate the gomo salad which was just a mixture of the cucumber salad and seaweed salad, cold noodle salad, Chirashi bowl, and chicken teriyaki Bento. We also ordered drinks. Unfortunately, no aspect of this meal was very good. One third of the way through I was wishing that I had had a burger... More
