It's too late to tell you to eat there but I can still say if you never did you really missed out on a classic.

Stopped going to Charcoal Oven some time ago because it was too pricey, even though the food was good. And it was a cool local and long time icon. But we had to have one more theta burger and chick a doodle do sandwich. So glad we did.

This place closed Sunday night and my daughter and I were one of their last customers. The Charcoal Oven has been a landmark on NW Expressway my entire life. It has amazing food but they have long struggled with quality and price. They have had issues with serving fresh food and still keep the line of cars moving. This along... More

A cool memory spot going out of business in Sept 2016. It got a little pricey for the community and folks just started wanting more than meat and starch for lunch. There's large lines now for the last few days left; it is good but not for the price anymore. $15 for burger, rings and a drink is a bit... More

My son and I were passing by on the way to buy a few items for our hotel room. We just liked the looks of the place, and the long driveway/entrance. BEST decision on our entire trip! Food was so good! Can't wait to go back!

My wife and I ordered two cheese burgers. One with American, one with Cheddar. That's what was on it. A large patty of meat, crumbled cheese (both Cheddar) and tomato paste. Neither of us could finish it. And for 2 burgers and a medium coke the bill was $17 and change. The place has such potential. To the owner: You... More

We stopped here for lunch, lured in by the cool sign and neat appearance of this drive-in restaurant. You drive through, give your order, then drive to the window to pick up, then you can park in the lot to eat, or there are several outside picnic tables to enjoy. Since it was raining, we decided against al fresco, and... More

Food was way overpriced. Burgers are nothing special just average. Fries and onion rings were overcooked and very crunchy. Order taker could not speak English. $22 for two burgers and onion ring in France. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.

Their onion rings are the best! We always stop here when we're in OKC. The service is good and it's just a neat place to go.

The burger was very good, I won't say the best ever, but quite good. My friend said they have the best Theta burgers, but I just got a cheese burger. The onion rings... that is totally different story! Wow! I don't know where or how they do them, but they are amazing! It is just a drive through, so have... More
