We celebrated our granddaughter 's graduation here. The menu is small but their specialty is fried chicken served family style. We were a Party of about 15 and we had 4 chickens with a couple of orders of fried okra. We had lots Left over even though it was delicious. They also have nachos & chili pie. For drinks they... We had a one hour wait for the chicken, but were lucky to get a table right away. Chicken was hot, juicy, and everything we had heard it would be. The okra was delicious also. Staff was pleasant and kept our drinks filled. Will definitely go back when we are in the area. (It is a 3 hour drive for... More

This is a place to get fried chicken, the service is quite good and the food is very hot, there are other foods available for those who do not want fried food, it is reasonably clean and service is fast

It's simple - whole fried chicken, fried okra and cash. The staff was very friendly, always helpful. The fried chicken was very good. And being city folks, we loved the visit to Okarche and the walk down Main Street.

Great fried chicken. Hot from the fryer so let it cool just a little, but no too much. (grin) It's an old bar with sawdust on the floor, but you'll see lots of families with kids. Beer is the hardest drink they serve.

This is a fun odd place. The chicken is awesome. Place is simple, bread and pickles, love them. But it is always busy. No lines, just stand and wait for a seat. And move fast or some one else will get it. But it fun. Will go again.

If you're looking for a 5 star restaurant with fancy plates and silverware...this is not the place for you. You will get no plates, no silverware, no tablecloth and no glassware. Pop is served in a can with a styrofoam cup and ice. Your food comes in cardboard boats. Nothing fancy but great food. Expect a wait during lunch/dinner, especially... More

I tried this place with friends and family after hearing how great the chicken is. It is a very different eating experience. The service was extremely slow - we had to get up and ask for drinks and our check. Our meal took about 2 hours and they only serve chicken. It is a messy meal considering you only get... More

No plates, no silverware, no tablecloths, just paper squares as plates and a cardboard boat for your chicken. $14 for a whole chicken may seem expensive, but once you bite into it, you'll see why people keep coming back. It can get busy with waits over an hour for a chicken, but have a beer or two while you wait.... More
