O'Connell's has been a favorite of mine for 30 years now. BUT, what has happened? An Irish pub that is not going to serve Smithwicks anymore. The fries are grossly greasy. So much so, that the server offered to bring us paper towel to soak up the grease. I asked if I could just get new fries, to which the... More

O'connell's is a bar and grill although the food is good, it is better known for its bar and student hang out. This is a very popular place for students all school year and is especially popular on game days.

Basic frozen hamburger patty with a nice variety of added condiments. Basic limited beer selections. Not the most Irish of pubs, other then the name, killiens red beer and fish and chips. Just a decent college bar with food.

Tried to eat here on a Friday night but we're disappointed that they were out of the chicken fried steak special and tomato basil soup and who knows what else. We paid for our beers and left. It wasn't even 6:30 yet!

WEdnesday night burgers and tasty and cheap -- good beer and a fun place to hang out for all ages. Trivia night and easy to access -- great prices

Went off season, was not busy. Staff was friendly and food came out fast. Had a pretty basic burger that was good. Not a very large beer selection. Reminded me of other college bars - probably more fun during football season.

Visited here twice recently and enjoyed both times. The burgers and fry selection was decent. We had a large group of 18 and this pub easily accommodated us in a back space of the restaurant. The waitstaff was attentive and worked well with the various members of our group - patient, understanding, and around when we needed them. This is... More

Our baseball team was in Norman for a baseball tournament and a group of us went to O'Connell's. The wait staff was great for a large group very organized. While there the OU football coach and some players were doing a photo shoot for some kind of print ad. That was cool to watch but didn't disrupt our time there.

O'Connell's relocated to Campus Corner a few years ago when the University bought the land it was located on at the corner of Jenkins and Lindsey. O'Connell's has operated for more than 35 years in Norman and legions of OU students have been
