This is a neighborhood place. But frequented by both college students and retirees-and with good reason! Sandwiches and soups that are amazing. The gumbo and green chili are Highly recommended. Not everything is available each day. Small batches are done for the daily choices. A huge variety of sandwiches are also available -the Vulcan is one of the most popular.... More

We search for the best unknowns that the Locals prefer. It took an effort driving through neighborhoods to come upon the Midway. Not much parking available and all places filled. We drove down the street and parked. This is a Tuesday the only day we have available and leaving the next day. The evening meal was going to be enormous,... More

If you're looking for something different than the chain soup, salad, sandwich restaurants this is a great place to try. The crowd ranges from college students to retirees meeting with friends. I had the T.B.S. (turkey, bacon, swiss) with mustard lunch combo with a pasta salad. Both were very good. The atmosphere was interesting and inviting. Lots of history on... More

This is a converted grocery store, likely has had a deli since WWII. The sandwiches and soups are excellent. Looks like to me all the soups are made daily and with fresh ingredients. It is slightly more expensive than say McAlister's, but I think the quality is better here and worth the slight additional expense.

This is a little hole in the wall, buried in the middle of a residential neighborhood deli that is a gem. Good sandwiches, good soups, funky decor, and college students to families to older couples all enjoying their food. Only drawback is limited parking.

We visited MIdway for lunch after ready Trip Advisor reviews. It is now our favorite lunch spot!! As soon as you walk in the door you feel at home. Everyone is friendly and the owner is right there greeting customers. The food is outstanding - be sure to try the Pasta Salad. I had The Vulcan and it was perfection.... More

The Midway Deli has been a fixture in east Norman for many years. They have great sandwiches made to order, awesome chili, and friendly help. The owner not only takes pride in his food but also in his neighborhood and surrounding area. Had a stressful morning? Need to relax with some good food and a soda? come here and recharge... More

This is the type of place you wouldn't notice if you weren't looking for it. It is a hole in the wall out of the way. But the food is amazing. They have daily soup specials and sandwich specials. That is all I usually get, that way you get to try his new concoctions that are always amazing.

It is a deli--a real deli. Everything about the place is great. Be sure to bring an ice box if you aren't headed straight home so that you can order sliced pastrami to go!
