We've been coming to Sweet Basil since moving to the area in 2013. It's our go-to place for coal-fired style East Coast style pie. Namely, New Haven, CT Frank Pepe"s. Although it's not exactly the same, it comes close. Solid pie for the Midwest.
We moved to Ohio from New Jersey almost 3 years ago & this is one of a handful of pizza places with REAL authentic New York style pizza. The crust is thin, hand-tossed & baked perfectly. The toppings are fresh & ample. Just delicious!
No other pizza compares to this amazing delicious pizza. hand tossed dough, thin and then the toppings are so fresh!! I've had many friends taste it and they are also hooked!

This place is ok. The server or manager was very nice. We ordered garlic knots which were sticks and good. The classic Mac and cheese needed salt but was good. The pizza was nowhere near as good as the many other places you could choose...More
