The food is very tasty, hearty Amish style. Think mashed potatoes, noodles, meatloaf, chicken roast beer, lots of salads. There is an abundant buffet, or you can order off the menu. Do plan to stop at the bakery which is excellent. Outstanding cream sticks.

We have stopped here several times and we have always been happy with our experience. The buffet is hot and fresh. The salad bar is excellent. Be prepared for a wait as this is a popular eatery but worth the wait.

Hello harruffds, I'm sorry, but we don't take reservations for parties smaller than 12. Our dining room is large and I'm sure we can accommodate you when you arrive. Hope this is helpful!

Description
For the hard-working people of Holmes County, Ohio, eating is a simple pleasure, shared at family meals, times of fellowship, and celebrations. Der Dutchman Restaurant has been at the heart of this community and its food traditions for more than 30 years. Our Amish Kitchen Cooking is the No. 1 reason generations of visitors make the trip to Der Dutchman every year. But our hilltop location and spectacular view come in a close second. Lunch and dinner feature simple, straightforward classics—chicken, country-cured ham, roast beef and turkey, and chicken potpie. Hearty side dishes include real mashed potatoes, homemade egg noodles, and the freshest tasting creamed corn you’ll ever have the good fortune to eat. There’s also a great Kid’s Menu, with all their favorites, and lighter options, including homemade soups, fresh salads, and sandwiches.
