Unfortunately we didn't read the menu before entering for lunch. I'm not even sure why I'm writing this review, I guess I was just disappointed. Fish and Chips for $32 was unexpected in what appears to be a basic cafe. It just wasn't inviting and...More

Very little choice in Swansea mean that the restaurants seem to charge whatever they want. Mediocre meal, most disappointing dinner in our week in Tasmania.More

Brilliant location in Main Street of Swansea, overlooking picturesque bay. Quirky decorations and condiment pieces. Generous tasty serves.

Had breakfast here twice while staying in Swansea. Very nice food and great service. The view over the bay is beautiful while having brekky and a coffee. Great start to the day.

Disappointing that management aren't getting the messages given in many of the other reviews. I wish I'd have looked before we sat down. The prices would be fine if the food was exceptional and/or generous. Unfortunately it is average and basic. We came for breakfast...More

Thank you for your review, our prices are all displayed before entering, so you are aware of what we charge for all our meals. 2 poached eggs on toast are just that so the size is relevant to what is ordered, can really make this...More

At Saltshaker Café and Restaurant we cater for breakfast/lunch and dinner dining in our restaurant ... .To compliment our offerings, enjoy your meal or drinks on the deck overlooking the bay towards Freycinet and The Hazards. On a calm sunny day, watch the fisherman launch and retrieve their boats - a popular and sometimes a very entertaining experience. On a full moon night, the reflections on the water are stunning. Both the Restaurant and Café are fully licensed so enjoy a selection from our beverage or wine list while you take in the view.If you're planning to enjoy our dining experience, be sure to reserve a table. we have now expanded our deck to take another level, offering seating outside for around 60 people. we also specialise in gourmet and regular pizza's open till late for take aways, or during meal times. If nothing else, be sure to do some "Decktime" at Saltshaker .... you won't be disappointed.
