Watching the sun set over Macquarie harbour whilst eating slow roasted (14h) shoulder of lamb is a highlight not to be missed. The lamb was exquisite and the view second to none. Staff were friendly and helpful although appeared understaffed. Still a great experience.

Late booking got us an early table, which was greatly appreciated - then came the wonderfully cooked and presented food (shared King Island camenbert & lamb for 2) Couple this with a great outlook and friendly staff made for a great evening. But even then it still amazes me that you just can't please some. We witnessed one couple come... More

This setting for the Risby Cove restaurant is a water-level rival to View42o. With its own little quay in the hotel grounds, the main window of the restaurant faces west into the sunset, with the building and boats of Strahan making an artistic reflection. Our dining experience didn't measure up to the scenery. Despite having had to explain our fairly... More

I went to the restaurant with my family and the food was a disappointment. It was too bright with the sun. The owners need to get some blinds. Lovely view, friendly staff.

Attractive local restaurant with a beautiful view. Very cosy, comfortable and busy place for dinner. Our dinner orders were very good and so was the dessert. Presentation was excellent. Just one thing. Service was slow. But with the amazing view to gaze at it was not a pressing issue but service does need more focus. The male waiter (sorry I... More

We were staying at Risby Cove and decided to dine at the restaurant, beautiful setting and lovely sunset. The food was fabulous big thank you to the Chef. Unfortunately the front of house let the overall experience down. All of the wait staff were under stress and hopeless.

Food was delicious and the views are excellent. Service good. The interiors are very pleasant. Would definitely return, a great place to spend a few hours and good value for money.

We ate here on our last night in Strahan. It was bust but the food was very nice. The pork steak and Paris mash in particular were delicious. Great location and beautiful sunset.

We thought the venue had a lovely location on the water and the restaurant itself was quite quaint with it's décor. I noticed that a wine glass had a crack and chip and the cutlery didn't look that clean and shiny so first impressions weren't great. However the service was good and the food didn't take long to come out... More
