Stayed for 2 nights on a bike trip around Tassie. We had spacious rooms overlooking the water. Rooms very clean and had everything we needed. Right in the Main Street so easy walk to shops for brekky or supplies. Had a meal in the bistro,...typical pub menu but very nice just the same.More

Visited last night with a family of 6 ranging from 12 to 60 yrs. Meals were ok size but not a lot of flavour, lamb shanks advertised with seasonal vegies came with salad only although they were serving veggies on other meals. Seafood catch was...good size but mostly chips, crumbed scallops were a soggy ball, very disappointing. Even the 12 yr old couldn't eat the pizza on the kids meal, what kid leaves pizza, not a nice flavour at all. Meals were all served at different times and infact we had to ask if we were getting the last 2. they had forgotten. Not good enough try somewhere else.More

Clean, good value pub grub. Chicken flavourful & not overcooked, vegetables also tasty and warmed through, not soggy... burgers also very yummy. 2/3 bar staff very friendly and helpful (other just barely ok)

Great job on the Christmas lunch guys. Everything was lovely to eat, plenty of selection and thanks to the friendly staff on the day for working to make this happen 👍🏽

Our meals were shocking. Beef snitzel was deep fried and burnt. Overpriced for the quality. I'd walk somewhere else

6 years since I last visited & was not Impressed then & definitely not impressed now. Firstly, the meals are very overpriced for basic “pub style” meals. 3x lots of oysters kilpatrick & all were very poor quality. The bacon were way over cooked &...the sauce was watery. Advised the staff & the remainders were taken away with the reply “I’ll see what they can do about them” And never returned. $19 for surf & turf topper. 3 small Prawns & 3 tiny rubbery scallops.. the garlic sauce was minimal. Soggy chips and well cooked steak, which was supposed to be rare-medium. Soggy chips. Forgot about 2x kids meals, and were Brought out right at the very end. The kids meals included a lemonade, which were in fact soda water. Overall a very horrible experience.More

Have eaten here on numerous occasions and twice in the last 2 weeks. I do not know what they have done but the food has taken a deep dive downhill. We had a group of 4 and all ordered different meals and all left most...of our meals. A frozen meal from the supermarket would of been 100% better than what we were served. Well all I can say is I will never be back again until the food has a major overhaul. Parkside here we come.More

My partner and I hadn't been here since October 2019 for 2 reasons: the poor quality of our last meal, and the COVID virus. We have just gone back and nothing has changed. Paid $71 for the Surf and Turf (Scotch medium well), vegetables and...a prawn or 2 in the sauce on top ($44). I had one of the specials, the curried scollops at $27. Before I go on, I will say the service provided was very good and probably the only reason I've given this a 2 rating. The scotch fillet was tough and tasteless. Apart from the scollops being extremely poor and over cooked, the dish consisted of a bit of rice underneath. Certainly not worth $27. Another couple nearby had bought the scollops to share: no doubt they will be looking for a sandwich after this. Extremely disappointing. It's obvious the mob running this show have no understanding of the value of word of mouth advertising. Don't eat here!!!!!!More

Arrived fora meal on a Friday night, meals close at 7.30. Building very dated and tired. Should have been painted and tidied up during Covid shutdown. The only hotel in town sitting on a goldmine. Meal only just. Could be able to so much I...with some effort.More
