Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a delightful cafe. We had the homemade Pies and Coffee. They were the best we have had on our trip from Qld and 3 months in Tasmania. To top it off, I had the Cronut wow.

Took mother in law out for early Mother’s Day breakfast. Read online how this place was fabulous and it didn’t disappoint. Staff friendly. Great menu including gluten free selections. Fantastic coffee, best I have had for a long time! Meals all very good portions. The...arts and craft section was really good. All up 5 stars. Only my second or third 4 star review. We had quite a disappointing experience after reading the good reviews on Google. We asked for our poached eggs to be medium, not runny not hard. Out they came as soft as I’ve ever seen eggs served. When they took them to correct this they...came back hard as. How could they get it so wrong twice? The toast was the super boring white sandwich style and for some reason cooked only one side. Staff were nice, atmosphere nice but we wished we had not eaten thereMore

This cafe has lots of arts, crafts, tasty treats, lovely food, and most importantly, a really good coffee. I’d highly recommend a visit to the Blacksmith Cafe, lovely friendly service, quality food, gifts, etc etc they’ve got it all. The town itself provides plenty to...do & see. The Town has a lovely Art trail for a walk around with lots of history mixed with so much character. Do your self a favour and check out the numerous great places to explore eat and dine. From Dawn till dusk opportunities for young & old. Tassies’s Best BlackSmith cafe.More

Two full rashers of bacon on a muffin is great value and tasty. Friendly staff and warm, quirky environment makes this the best cafe in Sheffield. Comfortable and good homemade cooking means that we will return here again. Three very happy customers!

Highly recommend the Blacksmith. I was in a hurry and did not want a pie so I popped in here and was greeted by the lovely staff. They looked like they had a super busy day but still were super cheerful and helpful. Making me...a fresh sandwich that tasted amazing. the service was alot quicker than I thought it would have been. And this gave us time to look at a few murals before we had to leave town.More

We stopped in town to look at the murals and decided to try this little cafe for lunch. We had couple of the vegan pies with salad and they were delicious!! So many veggies filled these pies and the pastry was to die for. The...staff were lovely and the decor was very cute with a huge teapot collection. Thanks for including some vegan options!!More

I ordered Pumpkin Soup and after approximately a 10 minute wait I received something in a bowl that was very watery roughly the colour of pumpkin and had small chunks of carrot in it (a bit like spiced coloured dishwater). I could not taste any...pumpkin and asked the server was this pumpkin soup. He replied that it was and I asked what else was in it and he replied carrot, sweet potato and other vegetables. I explained that when I order pumpkin soup that is what I expect not a mixed vegetable soup. The servers answer was had I ever cooked pumpkin soup to which I replied yes but I use pumpkin as the name implies. I paid $10 for a small portion of coloured water and some toast - shocking. No wonder they insist you pay before you eat.More

A gluten free menu - just ask for it. Good variety and excellent home cooked meals. Cooked while you wait so don’t expect a fast food timeframe. Well worth the wait.

An amazing experience on a Good Friday! The staff were attentive even on a busy public holiday. Quality products as well. The owner was extremely friendly and made a new drink (free of charge despite my insistence to pay) after I accidentally dropped my first....I got a sticky spiced chai brewed with soy milk to take away, and it was unique and delicious! I also love the wide range of products available for purchase in the cafe! I got a beautiful blue scrunchie. I would highly recommend this cafe and would visit again for a proper sit down experience.More
