Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

First time eating here and it won’t be last. Walking in to this establishment you can feel the great atmosphere and a feeling of being welcome. There is a great selection on the menu with a full bar at your service. Usually I order the same things at pub style meals but I decided on the grilled fish of the day with chips and salad. The fish was very well cooked, tasted amazing and melted in my mouth, chips were cooked perfectly and a good sized side salad.
The customer service was outstanding and not being a local didn’t make any difference.

Dined here as all the other restaurants we tried were booked out but this places certainly isn’t a poor second. We had to eat outside on one of the beck tables as all the inside tables were filled but that wasn’t an issue as it was a beautiful night. My husband had a scotch fillet and I had panned fried fish - both came with chips and a side salad. Both meals were delicious and big serves. The only issue was that the meals took 50 minutes to be served but we ordered just after everyone else so that is expected. Well worth a visit.

This place goes from strength to strength. Pub food at its best. Tonight I had grilled Stripey Trumpeter, perfectly cooked with a crispy skin and herb butter, and a super fresh side salad. Comes with chips but my waistline declined. Absolutely delish.

What a fun venue. Great food, fresh blue eye trevalla pan fried to perfection. Pick a box free raffle. Hilarious bar man with an extremely interesting Tasmanian pedigree who also has great taste in music.
What more could you ask for and of course don't forget to remember all our ex servicemen who served for our liberty 🥰🥂🎉

What a lovely place to find. Friendly kind people makes the place warm and comfortable to be in. The food is classic but so fresh and enjoyable for both adults and kids. Beautifully cooked and presented. So thankful to have found Tasman Ex-Serviceman and Women Association! Would travel just to eat here again.

We are 2 couples rravelling in 2 motorhomes. Wanted to be near Pt Arthur for early visit. Self contained accommodation available, $20. $10 voucher given in return. Booked for dinner, Thursday pm. Fairly busy. Great feed, large portions. Recommend 100%.

Called n with over 25 family and friends and it was already very busy, but they fitted us in.
Not only were the meals great, they were not those itty bitty type meals, but good country tucker.
I would recommend the parmy or fish. I had the steak and it was cooked okay - a little fatty. But the Blue Eye looked amazing.
Definitely a recommendation.

This is a fairly average pub type premises, but as it is the only place in town, it gets quite busy. Food is very basic, but edible. Ok in a pinch.

S43°6.494' E147°44.763' We do not like food from RSL’s, because in our experience it is usually indistinguishable from pub grub. No insult to pubs. On the advice of our hosts, we visited the Tasman ex-services club in Nubeena.
This RSL, which is not officially an RSL, has the usual interior with pictures of soldiers and records of battles everywhere on the wall. It is an old man’s club, which is probably a good thing. Besides the bar, it has a restaurant, staffed by a single chef in a Che Guevara outfit. He takes your order, cooks your meal and takes the dishes away, sometimes assisted by someone from the bar when the restaurant is full of guests, like on the day we passed by.
In February of 2020, we ordered garlic bread ($6), scotch fillet ($30), fish of the day $25 (boarfish) with pumpkin, sweet potato, carrot, zucchini and potato. The portions are large. After so many fish and chips meals, we loved the vegetables. The scotch fillet and boar fish had nice flavours and textures. Good preparation from the Che Guevara chef. We finished our dinner with chocolate pudding and ice cream ($8)
This RSL is not a place to drive by. Do not expect gourmet food, but this single chef prepares good food for a full restaurant. That is a culinary achievement. Recommended.

This was a great spot to get a really quality dinner in an unpretentious restaurant. The sunset was incredible as well, so it's a good spot to have a beer and watch the sun go down.
