Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As a “competitor “ with some other chain bakeries it falls short. Only go in emergencies. Find quality and value is very average indeed.

A feast for the eyes and palate. The display cabinet was full of delicious pastries, cakes, pies and rolls. The glass gleamed, the floor was polished and in all it was fresh and welcoming. Maybe because we were hungry, looking for a breakfast treat at...9am after driving out fromHobart on our way to Strahan, but I think this bakery/cafe is a perfect example of its type. We had tea, coffee, pies and bought lunch rolls for later. Service was friendly and quick. We highly recommend a stop here.More

Only visited here for a quick stop on a road trip. Right in the center of town, quick and easy to drop in and get a snack and drink. Coffee was good.

We were strolling through High Street, which was very familiar to me as I was a few times there on official business on previous occasions. However, everything was closed there at 3 pm. It may have been a weekend but the entire street was dead....Finally, we have found the Banjo Bakery which was still open for a snack. Again, the snack was quite tasty but I am not very keen on food wrapped in paperbacks which is avery messy.More

Banjo's is a popular bakery chain. My favorite is the Tassie scallop pie. Not the best in the state and the pie crusts a little greasy but for an alternative to Maccas and KFC, well worth it.

I stopped off at this bakery for a quick bite for breakfast and to buy some lunch for later on when I was hiking. The pies at this place were top-notch and had me wanting to come back for seconds. The lunch I ordered to...takeaway was also a scrumptious Turkish roll with feta and olives, that was a great snack to have after a long hike. The staff were friendly, and the service was quick. I will definitely come back to this cafe when I am in the area again.More

Our cycle group stopped here on our way back to Hobart from our West Coast tour. Scallop pies were most popular even though it was primarily only a coffee stop.

Not a local, was dropped nearby as part of a tour. Small range, but even then there were a couple of veg sausage rolls and one vegan option. Super happy about that, they were cheap (i think $2.70 each) and there was free tomato sauce...(loving Tassie's low waste endeavours). Didn't get coffee etc, but the bread looked good.More

My friends and myself wanted a bite to eat. Two of us ordered an iced latte and asked for no cream or ice cream. But we were given ice cream. So much for a cafè, they should be properly trained. We then proceeded to ordering...food. No croissants, no quiches and hardly any sweets available and it was 11AM. Might as well order a loaf of bread on a plate. We will not be visiting again.More

Hmmm what to eat? Carb, carb, carb, carb, carb.. ok nothing for ketogenic diets. It would be nice if there was at least one option. Keto diets have some delicious dessert foods, but they don't contain carbs. Just a suggestion. Not knocking the place. It's...super great if you don't mind all the carbs.More
