Went in there with our moms for their last night in Tasmania. We ordered some oysters, cray fish special, beet root and gin cured trout, mussels in singapore sauce. Everything were so fresh and tasty!! High lights of the entrees were the trout and mussels! My mom is vegetarian, she really enjoyed the summer salad and gnocchi. Eye fillet ,and... More

A lovely evening. Staff were very attentive and friendly and knew the menue and wines like the back of their hands. Options were great and our meals were cooked to perfection. Will come again.

We ate both nights at the restaurant during our stay at Freycinet lodge and would conclude that it cooks good food but in our opinion was not great. The service at all times was very good. The first night we had the lobster which we found to be less tender than other lobster we had. Nevertheless it was good but... More

we asked for a seat by the window which in hindsight was a bad choice given that it faces west - so we melted in the summer sunset. But once the sun went down it was stunning. The food was fresh, innovative and tasty. The service was great too. It is a shame that the accommodation isn't up to scratch... More

Chose to eat here after reading all the great reviews. Unfortunately I should have stuck to my mantra of not eating where I have to ask what ingredients are. I enjoy simple food. Yes it is fine dining but I did not enjoy it. Presentation was great but I did not like either my main or dessert. I asked for... More

Big windows result in this restaurant having a glorious view of the bay. The sun was streaming in though which meant that we probably needed sunglasses but we still loved it. Our waiter was very pleasant and friendly but I think we were pretty easy customers as we already knew what we wanted. The seafood platter of course. It was... More

We stayed at the Lodge and this was our second evening choice of restaurant. It was chilly and rainy outside and we had a relaxed meal attempting to demolish the monster seafood platter. A great variety of seafood with some real hits and some misses, we were more than satisfied. Not cheap, but the service is excellent, as is the... More

What a excellent experience, our waiter could not have been more present and accommodating. With two celiacs dining on our table of 6 she politely pointed out what was suitable on the menu (about half the menu!). We had some Tasmanian wines and beers to start. An impressive selection of both with a very large cellar on offer. Devils corner... More

Set in Freycinet Lodge, within the national park, overlooking the bay, this restaurant is a relaxing place to unwind. The oysters were wonderfully prepared and is best accompanied by the local wine. The ice-cream selection too was out of the ordinary. Overall the prices were reasonable, considering it was fine dining quality.

My wife and I had dinner here with friends on a warm summer evening ,great water views from the large windows that wrap around the dinning area .We found the Menu limited and food a little fussy not cheap. Wine list over priced . Go for the view.
