So we missed the kitchen for lunch but the ice cream was an awesome alternative…you HAVE to try the lavender ice cream! It was fantastic…accompanied with old English toffee. PERFECT COMBO
Ordered fish and chips basket, but was a little disappointed. The staff is great of course, but they need to give better options with food. Prawns were so small, just like from a frozen packet. If you compare with other places with fish and chips,...it also comes with salad. Here they just have chips and fish. Maybe that can be the area for improvement.More
They were most accommodating in catering for my gluten-free needs. The ice creams were delicious and there were quite a variety of flavours.
Only stopped by to sample the Ice Cream and we are sure glad we did. Not sure if it due to taking a long walk in the morning that made this ice cream so nice. What ever, this is our pick for the best Ice...Cream we tasted on our 2 week trip to Tassie. Well done!More
One of the limited number of dining options in Coles Bay. It was a toss up between the fish and chips here or Geographe which was almost next door. We went for Geographe, just average, and came here for dessert. Good range of ice cream...flavours and what we had was tasty although expensive. One scoop $5-30 and two scoops $7-90. Staff were pleasant. Large inside and outside dining areas.More
Service was friendly and fast. Seafood platter and a child’s fish and chips was plenty for two adults and a teenager. Chips were lovely with just the right amount of spice.
We had lunch at this restaurant and ordered their signature dish - fish and chips. The food was very good and we finished it all but ordered only one set of fries between us so that was good planning. The price of the dish was...$18.90 but as we were sat already having the lunch, the price was manually changed to $20.90 on the chalkboard. The $18.90 was already more than what most people pay for fish and chips so there is no reason to increase just because there more people coming in for lunch at noon. Their coffees were also good. The ice cream was a clear favorite for patrons but as I am lactose intolerant, I gave it a miss. I could have had their sorbet but was too full after the fish and chips. Not a bad place for a cafe that serves good fish and chips, coffee and ice cream.More
Seems to vary depending on who the staff are. Came here three times while in Coles Bay. First time was great - staff patient while we decided on ice cream flavour, drinks and food good, and I was impressed with the cleanliness of the dining...area and the toilets. Not so good the other two times - thought it was a one off the second time we were there . . . but the third time was disappointing too . . . basically the opposite of what we had found first time. Maybe our expectations were too high for what never claims to be more than a basic café at best. Will try again when next in Tassie, but won’t expect too much. CateMore
Nice looking building Unclean unfortunately. We ordered fish and chips and squid. The chips were terrible, very limp and no taste. The fish was adequate and the squid did not seem fresh. I ate one piece and left the rest. The meal was Expensive!!!! Before...we had to then go next four to get nice food.More
The ice-cream here was one of the best we had tried in Tasmania. The lavender and peanut butter & choc ice-cream were super. There were many flavours to choose from. The Fish & Chips was very good too. We really enjoyed our meal here. Great...place to visit after a hike at Wineglass Bay.More
The ice cream here is really good. We had quite a long wait because it was a warm day and they only had one person serving but it was worth the wait. all the flavours we had were good with Choc/peanut butter and strawberry cheesecake...among the standouts. The person serving was incredibly busy but still friendly and did a good job with the sundaes.More
Large scoops of delish ice cream, what more can I say! Perfect after an 11 k walk in the national park. They serve fish and chips too but we didnt try them although theyh looked good
I had never tried or seen lavender ice cream and the colour is just beautiful, also the melon, whilst my Husband always goes for anything with chocolate in, but great variety.
We loved our icecream stop here so much we had to come back for the fish and chips! Extremely friendly and attentive service, and delicious food. 10/10!
