We can see why this place is popular (and the owner rushed off her feet) - the food is excellent! I had the massaman beef curry and it was one of the best I have had (including across Asia). The beef was ‘melt in the...mouth’, the sauce superb and all the vegetables were so fresh. My husband’s chicken and cashew stir fry was also delicious. Bookings recommended.More

Have been to eat here a few times now and I always walk away from the experience satisfied. The food is fantastic and the owners are lovely. Very lucky to have this little gem in the Huon Valley

While Mark’s specialty is Thai cuisine there are diners who eat here because of his steaks. If you’re into above average chili heat you’ll need to ask Mark for the extra. He cooks to a level of spiciness for the ordinary local. Before I retired...my wife and I used to dine here pretty much every week and I pretty much gave up steak cookery since I had difficulty finding beef of the quality that Mark invariably served up. Mark and his Vietnamese wife Ha have been an asset to our community for over a decade now.More

Wanting to eat out for the first time in weeks, we took a drive to beautiful Franklin. We knew most restaurants were shut, and were going to buy takeaway, then found Huon’s Little Treasure was open. We ditched the takeaway idea and chose to dine...in, even though we hadn’t booked (oops). We shared entree of spring rolls which were crispy, piping hot and not at all oily, served with sweet chilli sauce and mini salad. Delicious! I chose Penang Curry with lamb, hubby Massaman with beef. Generous servings of both with rice, beautiful flavours. We will return for sure, as they offer fish & chips, crepes and steaks as well as a mix of Asian dishes.More

Great food - a decent choice of Thai, Vietnamese and some western dishes - always fresh, tasty and authentic. The atmosphere is very welcoming, Ha and Mark are great hosts...and the kids help out when it’s busy which is good to see. Good range of...drinks at reasonable prices - I’m a special fan of a local “Simple Cider” made from Grannies Smith apples with just a touch of ginger. Give that a try too! We’re “sort of locals” - we live across the river so this is a 45 minute each way trek by car - and the Little Treasure has become our dine-out of choice over the last ten years. Give the a Treasure a try!More

Huon's Little Treasure is, indeed, a treasure! We've been eating here ever since we moved to Tasmania's Huon Valley 10 years ago and have never had a bad experience. Mark and Ha run a family restaurant offering Thai and European food, freshly-cooked, using the freshest...ingredients and beautifully presented. The service is warm and friendly and the food is to die for! And as if all that isn't enough, on Christmas Day they serve a traditional Australian Christmas lunch, with turkey, ham, veggies and Christmas pudding. Just perfect!More

Having been here on many occasions and enjoyed the meal our experience tonight was appalling! We had booked in for Christmas lunch for 2019 (and paid the full amount prior to the vent – $195) but as Mum was later invited to her nieces for...Christmas we went back to this establishment and asked if we could cancel The male owner was most understanding (saying of course Mollie would like to spend Christmas with her family) and wanted to return our money to us but didn’t know how – so he gave us a full credit which we were told could be used at a later date; no mention of any deduction for cancelling at that time!!! Tonight we went to the establishment and were told there had been $60 taken from that money for cancelling our intended Christmas lunch – we were even told that a message had been sent so informing us – we received NO such SMS. Even had it been sent, this should have been said at the time of our cancellation and NOT in a later message. After some discussion and NOT happy with this situation, the owners were asked to refund the remainder of the money to us as we were leaving and the owners REFUSED to return the balance $195 -$60 = $135; so they have made $195 without serving a meal for that money after telling us all was good when we originally cancelled: Further, they stated that they had already purchased the food for Christmas Day and that was why the $60 was deducted – why was that NOT mentioned the day we cancelled at which time we would have been happy to accept the reduction. THIS was NOT done!!! POOR business practice WE WILL NEVER RETURN!!!!More
