Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Came for a beer and meal and sat outside on a nice sunny day. Beer was nice but never stayed for the meal as there was a Great Dane or similar dog behind the fence that kept farting every 5 minutes, and and made you...feel like vomiting. Maybe if your going to have a dog at the pub put it away from people eating food!More

I attended the Oktoberfest event on October 7th. The music was fantastic and it was a wonderful day. However I am disappointed that the price of drinks appeared to increase twice in the night with a comment from staff that it goes up by the...hour! I think this is disgusting and unacceptable to do this to the patrons who wouldn’t have noticed. The food was disappointing and ran out quite early in the afternoon. Having to resort to fried food to avoid hungry patrons. The owner of this venue has a shocking attitude and is quite rude and arrogant if asked any questions. Customer service is number one priority and it will not be long before people won’t support him.More

Upon entering the bistro we were warmly greeted by staff member behind the bar. We found the menu to have a good variety of meals to choose from, hubby ordered the homemade rissoles while I ordered the super veg bowl with grilled chicken added. Our...meals arrived in a timely manner and were generous portions. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and found the quality and freshness of vegetables etc to be of a high standard. Once we had finished our meals our table was cleared in a timelymanner, staff member was warm and friendly. Will definitely return and recommend to family and friends.More

Arrived at 1.45, ordered our meals and drinks, waited, waited, waited. After 45min we asked only to be told our order hadn't even gone thru and by then, the kitchen was closed! We were the only people left in the area. No one bothered to...ask us. So we left hungry and very unhappyMore

Stopped in for lunch and what a great decision. Despite the place being very busy we didnt have to wait ages for our meals. The meals were beautiful, I had the Thai Green Curry with chicken and my partner had Roast Beef - both meals...were very generous portions and had a great variety of vegetables in both. I would definitely recommend eating here and I would go back again next time Im in Tasmania.More

The Forth Pub Bistro is a wonderful place for a great pub meal. The menu is extensive with all the pub staples. Meals are beautifully cooked and presented and really reasonably priced.

It was so loud in the bistro it was not possible to hear anyone else at out table. Hardwood floors and concrete walls aren’t good. We had an elderly friend with us who has a hearing issue and it was very difficult for her. We...waited one hour for our food, that admittedly was generous and tasty, however unless the acoustics are improved we wont be going againMore

I decided to try the new bakery which is now part of the Bridge Hotel in Forth and wasn't disappointed! A great selection of pies and cakes and very friendly staff. Not being a big eater I opted for two small pastries - an antipasto...pie (the size of a party pie) which had olives, feta, tomatoes and onion, and a spinach roll (the size of a small sausage roll) which was packed with spinach and cheese. Both were absolutely delicious with beautiful flaky pastry. So much so that I've been craving about them since then! I noticed the bakery also does pizza - yet another reason to return! It's a great addition to the pub - especially as there are no other eateries in Forth. I'll be back!More

This is one of the very few remaining country hotels that remains traditional without Pokeys etc that proliferate city pubs. Offering a front Bar suited to rural workers and a dining room for family and group lunches and diners. The building is old and a...bit run down but they have flaunted this aspect by recent renovations consisting of old corrugated ion sheets and aged timber boards. Real outback rough style. However the meals we enjoyed were very generous and good quality. I had a Mexican Chicken Pamagarna which I had difficulty finishing due to the size. A good 20 mm thick and filled half the plate accompanied with thick seasoned chips, salad and a pot of Avocardo and sour cream for dipping. My daughter had Salt and Pepper Squid which proved very filling. The Breshetta On-tray was the best tasting I have had. In all a good solid working person"s meal. I had a beer and daughter lemon lime and bitters but there is a modest selection of wines available also. Service is just OK being a bit rushed and dis-organised on this Sunday night. $73 for two including a drink does not seem cheap given the surroundings but one could do worse.More

We saw a gig in November 2019 out the back of the pub; a great outdoors venue in a great old pub. We had dinner, the food was ample, simple, delicious, & quick. Highly recommended

After reading reviews that the food was great and there was a pool table, we headed here for lunch. Was a great lunch, service was speedy and friendly. This is just like a pub used to be in the old days, no frills and not...manicured. If you are looking for a basically good outing with friendly staff, this is it. There was band practicing for an afternoon show at 2.00, so maybe live entertainment might appeal to you. We left before, buy managed a few games of pool. We decided, we will return for a rematch and a good feed and friendly service.More

Set alongside the river this is a quaint pub in the old Tassie style. I cannot comment on the accommodation as I have not seen that. The public areas are being revamped and have a homely atmosphere. The food is really good - interesting, big...serves and lots of choice. Occasionally they have bands which really add to the atmosphere. Staff are friendly.More
