We didn't have breakfast at the motel at Port Arthur so we were hungry after visiting this place. We saw this place across the road from the Tessellated pavement car park. We didn't know if it was open as there was no-one in there. We...checked the board and it was open so we went in. We were the only ones in there. The menu was very standard. The burger patty on my cheese burger was just a frozen burger patty and it was an ordinary burger. The service was nice as I think the lady serving was just happy to see someone come in and order something. If eating in, there was a nice view from the windows. As it was convenient, we went in. Hope the food if you go there was better than what we had.More

A few years back the food at the Lufra was prepared by a decent chef who could cook everything to a high standard including fresh seafood. Being locals, my partner and I would dine there twice a week on most weeks. Sadly he left and...since then they must have engaged a series of poorly trained pub cooks. We rather foolishly keep going back expecting some improvements only to be let down again and again. This place could be so good given the location and spectacular coastal scenery but sadly the management seem incapable of sourcing a decent chef. Advice to the manager........it’s not that hard... simply engage a competent chef and the locals and tourists alike will fill this place to overflowing.More

My friend wanted a swim and I wanted to chillax over a coffee. This place served a yummy mango muffin with a hot white coffee both of which I enjoyed while staring out at the view of Pirates Beach.

Would never recommend this dive to my worst enemy! Walked in to this place on a whim for dinner only to be told that if we didn’t have a 7:30 dinner booking, we couldn’t be accommodated BUT we could be served drinks (not what we...were after). The place was half empty but ok? Then someone (who I’m assuming was a local by how the bar tender greeted him) told me if I “stuck around I could get lucky”... with my husband was only 5ft behind be. I was initially confused because I didn’t understand about getting lucky with food but then this gross man became awkward and kept engaging with the bar tender. Obviously didn’t hang around long enough to even eat there but if a hill billy, delinquent dog married a stray cat and had babies, the baby would be the vibe of this restaurant.More

This restaurant, part of a motel complex, is opposite the Tesselated Pavement, and we decided to eat here as a shelter from the rain on our way to Port Arthur. The meals were just a nudge above "pub food", and the service was friendly. Our...grilled fish was well-served, well cooked and enjoyable. Timing travel from Hobart to arrive in Port Arthur early afternoon, as well as some exploring along the way meant this stopover was well-located.More

I had two meals at the restaurant on my weekend stay and must say I was pleasantly surprised. First night I had seafood basket and the seafood was tasty and well cooked. The salad was a little sad but the chips were very yummy, crunchy...on the outside and fluffy on the inside, just as you like them. On the second night I had steak and vegies enjoyed that as well.More
