Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

In Devonport for work and felt like a change from room service.
Went for a walk and came across Little Asia.
I had the Steamed Pork Dumplings to start which appeared to be handmade and very fresh.
For mains, I went for a Beef Massaman Curry.
It had plenty of vegetables in it, the beef was tender and it had flavor to boot!

Myself and my 4 boys have been holidaying around Tasmania for two weeks. We had dinner at little Asia prior to boarding the Spirit of Tasmania. We were blown away by their food (my kids are quite fussy yet they asked for more dumplings)! I had the chicken Nasi Goreng which was absolutely delicious and my other son a beef laksa which he almost inhaled, he ate it so fast ;)
It’s worth the money and the staff were friendly and efficient.
11/10 rating.
Devonport is lucky to have this piece of culinary gold!

Dropped in for a quick meal prior to jumping on the spirit back to melbourne
Ordered the nepalese lamb curry and the Korean spicy chicken .Both meals very flavoursome and most enjoyable .we asked for spicy and was ok in spice levels .
We are regular Asian diners both in melbourne and overseas in Thailand
Little Asia was pretty good and definitely worth a trip

Sadly, I have been unable to taste the food as they refused to take a delayed takeaway order. Advertised hours for the nights I wanted to order were 5pm to 9pm. I walked into the store around 5:30 to order takeaway collection for around 8:30 pm, as I often work late. I got a refusal as it was too quiet to stay open long enough. Some months ago I tried an order through Menulog, again the order was placed around 5:30. When I checked around 8:30 pm Menulog said the order had been cancelled (and my payment refunded). The possible explanation was they may have been too busy. I passed the restaurant several times that night and it was certainly not busy. So please try keeping the hours you have advertised to see if patronage improves, or advertise reduced hours.

Came in for a laksa after getting off the ferry from Melbourne because it’s raining.
I’m not usually picky, I don’t complain about food, and I NEVER return it or give bad reviews. However, when I got my soup, I could immediately tell it wasn’t the right colour for laksa. It was basically slightly cloudy water and had no flavour. I brought it to their attention, and the staff admitted that yes it looked like the coconut milk had been forgotten, and said they would fix it. I told them that it also had no flavour, so I thought that the spices/paste must have been forgotten too. When they brought it back, they had definitely added coconut milk, but it was now an off white colour instead of the typical orangey/red, so they still hadn’t added any of the laksa curry paste/spices, and it still had no flavour (other than water/coconut milk), but I felt too awkward to tell them that something was still not quite right with it, and other customers were looking at us like we are jerks, so I ate it, paid, and left.
My boyfriends food was also disappointing, for the price we expected more than frozen vegetables in the fried rice, and what tasted like sweet chili sauce straight out of a bottle.
The staff was nice though, and other food might be good, but I don’t recommend the laksa as they don't seem to know the ingredients that go into laksa or what it should look like when cooked, to notice when something has been forgotten. Also wouldn’t recommend the chili prawns.

All the poor reviews are so correct, worst food ever had to eat, only ate it because we needed to eat. For a place to eat with such a great location in Devenport it is an embarrassment to call themselves a resturant. Please take my advice and do not eat here.

A lovely little Asian restaurant close to our accommodation. We had a hankering for good Asian and weren't disappointed with Little Asia.
Not a huge menu, plenty of choice for all tastes with a range of authentic and traditional Thai dishes. Great service and is BYO wine only.
We had the spring rolls for entrée, Korean Spicy Chicken Bulgogi with Kimchi for mains with steamed rice. A little spicer than I generally like, it was packed with flavour and the Kimchi certainly cut through the spice.

One of the worst meals I ever had.
Alaska -overcooked chicken and under cooked chewy noodles. No flavour
Satay chicken - bland and horrible cuts
Chicken cashew - tasted like a bottle of soy sauce.
Disappointed, the only bad meal we had on the entire trip.
Was over $70 and we should have just went to noodle box down the road.

Had the most delicious lunch at Little Asia today before we boarded the Spirit of Tasmania. The fried prawn dumplings were freshly prepared and so very tasty. My satay chicken was one of the best I have ever had and my husband enjoyed his beef stir fry. Friendly and efficient service though it wasn’t busy. Just wish we could have dined there again.

Expensive meals with cramped seating in small space. Although sauces were tasty the meat tough and vegetables too hard for elderly to eat...so only mixed sauce with rice. Price does not reflect this restaurants atmosphere comfort or quality of service.

We had a lovely meal here with friends. The owner/chefs went out of their way to cater for my food allergy, nothing was too much trouble. The young lady who served us was just delightful and real asset to the business (Candy). The food was delicious, pork belly really yummy. Good sized meals; spotlessly clean, great night had by all. Will go back for sure.

Enjoyed a takeaway meal from Little Asia using Menulog. Great service and the food was excellent. We had dumplings, salt and pepper prawns and stir fried chicken and vegetables. Food was tasty and the portion sizes were good. Very tasty and filling.

We dropped in just before closing and although we were the only guests, they were happy to take us in. The food they prepared was excellent, genuine Asian flavours and well cooked. Their menu and wine list are reasonably priced and the hosts and staff are super friendly. We enjoyed it so much we tried it again the next night and were not disappointed.

Great dinner option in Devonport, all of the food was excellent. We ordered the chicken satay, dumplings, mie goreng and nasi goreng. The waitress did a great job managing a full house by herself with exceptional service. Will definitely be back!
