Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I hadn't been to Molly's for a while but our group of 5 adults and 3 children recently had dinner there on a Saturday night. Definitely glad we booked (for an early time) as about half an hour after our arrival it got very busy. Extensive menu to choose from and the meals came quite quickly. All the meals were very generous in size and, from all accounts, everyone's was delicious. I had the eggplant parma which was divine - crumbed eggplant topped with zucchini, pasta sauce and cheese and was served with chips (a lot!) and a side salad. I couldn't finish it all. Even the kids' meals were big (dinosaur nuggets and chips) and each came with an activity pack which kept the littlies well entertained. Friendly staff and very reasonable prices for the quality/quantity of food. Having been to other pubs along the northwest for dinner I'd rate Molly's as one of the best.

Our meal consisted of roast lamb & roast vegetables with broccoli, zucchini, carrots & cauliflower accompanied by tasty gravy & mint sauce. The meat was tender & the vegetables were cooked as we like them. We had a choice of sweets for the special Sunday Roast meal. The profiteroles were first class. Overall we can highly recommend this restaurant for the food served to us.

My friend and I selected the lunch special. Pork roast (tender meat and roast veggies) and chocolate/cherry bread n butter pudding, total cost $20. Desert was rich and yummy. Gets our vote for economy and taste.

I bet nobody likes to be treated the way you shouldn’t be. Whether its aussie american or anyother nationality. Everyone should be treated equally. Does anyone of you like if you go to somewhere far from your place at a restaurant and you get a really bad customer service/bad experience at a restaurant?
There was a pile of dishes at the table which needs to be cleared. She saw it she came to our table couple times so many of them passed by but nobody cared of picking that plates up. We tried to let her know but she knowingly ignored us didnt listen and walked away. So rude so unaccomodating so terrible. Nobody came to take order for so long time. One nice lady finally got to us and took our order. Whoever disrespects other individuals. Be prepared you could be the next. You’ll be treated even worst than how you treat others. No offence though. Good luck. Worst experience ever.

My wife and I had our Christmas Day meal at Molly Malones, Devonport and it was fantastic. Congratulations to all the kitchen and serving staff, you were brilliant and the food was perfection. Well done to all.
There was a glass of bubbly on arrival.
Entree was a seafood taste plate of hot smoked salmon rillette, chilli and lime king prawns, Tasmanian scallop skewer with orange beurre blanc.
Main was traditional grazing board for the table of turkey, baked ham, slow-braised lamb rump, roasted vegetables and honey buttered greens.
Dessert was a dessert taste plate of mini plum pudding with brandy custard, white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake and a mini pavlova topped with berries.
Brilliant meal and first-rate service. Top rate chef that made it all possible. 10/10!!!

We booked here as it's not too far from the Spirit of Tassie. I ordered the classic Irish Stew and wasn't disappointed. Thick, rich and chunks of meat that melted in my mouth. Hubby ordered the beef and guiness pie and polished the plate off in record time. The staff are so friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this pub if you need to eat before getting on the Spirit.

The food and the service was outstanding. Had the Sunday Roast Special. Lamb and beef just melted in your mouth, the food was hot and plentiful. I am always weary of pub roasts as the taste like cardboard but not here. Great job guys.

Disgusting, as far as food goes it's about as low as it gets.
There was not a single non meat and non dairy option.
Apart from an over priced side dish of onion rings which requires zero skill or effort in cooking.
There was nothing suitable and my only option was a vegetable lasagne which was more like a giant chunk of melted cheese with some tomato water in it.
The bartender didn't even know what a stout was...
What's Irish about this black hole?
Nothing...
It's ok for mediocher flesh eaters that are ignorant in regards to real food but apart from that it was just a great way to lose money.

Ordered a takeaway Porterhouse steak and loaded fries. Unevenly cooked steak, extremely charcoal tasting. Seriously average. Loaded fries were not fries. Tasteless, not crunchy, just had cheese and bacon. Below average.

Wanted dinner but place was booked out. Staff were great and suggested we have a meal in the bar - a few beers later we did just that - beers were excellent as well. Enjoyed an excellent meal served at the bar. Received a few tickets in a bar raffle that I subsequently won - spun the wheel and donated the prize of several pints to some young guys at the bar. The bar was full of people enjoying themselves and all in all it was a good night with excellent staff who were cheerful and chatty. Recommend

Went to Molly Malones Irish Pub whilst staying in Devonport. We wanted to watch a particular NRL match. The lady behind the bar could not have been more helpful. Reserving seats for 6 of us in front of the TV set and adjusting the channel to the match. Drinks were good and served quickly. Stayed on for dinner and the food was nice. Plenty seating, food served in very reasonable time. Nice pleasant atmosphere.

Came here to grab a quiet drink and some dinner. The bar was full of barflies, and was dim and dull. Walked through to the bistro and it looked like a venue from the 1990s. Kids everywhere, decor outdated and uninspiring. Had a drink (which the bartender got wrong) and decided to spend our money elsewhere

We stopped here for dinner prior to a night sailing on the Spirit of Tasmania. What a pleasant surprise this place was! Great food that was well priced and very attentive service. Friendly atmosphere in the pub too with lots of families in attendance. Highly recommended.

Fantastic pub style meals! Fast service and tasty flavours! Menu is super large and could probably would be great to see fewer, but more consistent meals available.
Quality seemed to differ from plate to plate on our table

A cold night - fire blazing - a couple schooners of Kilkenny - nice. A nice atmosphere - prompt service and plenty of servers. A million items on the menu that would do Ramsays head in. Pub loaf was sensational. Potato skins - chewy not crispy. The Mrs had a roast of the day baked dinner - chicken - absolutely huge - cannot go wrong. Great night - a good solid pub meal- and a very reasonable price. Thanks.
