Called in for lunch with a few friends, the place was lively and full of energy. A wonderful selection of food, a complete vegan menu, and lots of vegetarian options. Nice wine and sparkling selection too, and the coffee was superb. Service exemplary and timely, pleasant, friendly but not intrusive. Lots of breakfast options and the lunch menu had heaps... More

Trendy little cafe, friendly staff, busy atmosphere. Fresh juices are a must. I had the vegetarian breakfast, waitress was quick as was the food. I go here every time I'm in Tassie and am never disappointed.

Our best find in Devonport for a coffee and not a bad brekkie as well. Quirky cafe that feels good and is a perfect start to a day. Enjoyed it very much after disembarking from Spirit of Tasmania. Would definitely visit again given a chance. Service was very good

Excellent fast service along with extremely large serves of very delicious food (will share a plate next time). Lovely staff. Above average coffee. Would have liked to have had a breakfast option of toast with preserves for something a bit smaller. Could definitely recommend though for freshness, flavour and atmosphere.

A cafe that you would expect in a major city. Food was exceptional and the service was second to none

Little one tucked into the waffles. I had the big breakfast. Poached eggs cooked to perfection. Nice size meal. Staff were very pleasant and enjoyed their work. Cute cafe.

We were driving through Devonport on a Sunday morning and couldn't find anywhere to have a late breakfast/brunch. We heard the sound of cutlery clinking in Rooke Lane and accidentally wandered into the Laneway Cafe. I ordered Eggs Benedict and was amazed at how good they were! Local Ingredients, house made hollandaise perfectly combined to make the best Eggs Benedict... More

Went for breakfast with our two year old, we were greeted by the waiter and taken to a table, and they provided some activity items for our daughter to use whilst waiting. The meals came out pretty quick, and were presented well on the plates. I had scrambled eggs with smashed avocado, bacon, and added halloumi and it was one... More

Daughter and I had a wonderful breakfast meal at Laneway, I'm so pleased as after our last terrible lunch experience a fair while ago it was doubtful I would return, but we did, and it was great. I had the smashed avocado, and two coffees, all I can say is that I will have it all again, and I will... More

So glad to have googled best cafes in Devonport which lead us to the 'Laneway'. Quirky surroundings added to the great service as people poured into this laneway destination. Our breakfast was plentiful, coffee fab!
