My friend and I dropped into Fundamental yesterday and ordered the Reuben sandwich and the halloumi bagel. Oh my goodness they were both absolutely delicious! I would also recommend getting coffee as these guys know what they are doing. 5 stars!

The best coffee I have had in Devonport. It’s probably also the most expensive but if you can afford it and coffee is your thing - its worth it.
They also stock a few pastries from pigeon whole - I didn’t have any on my visit but I have had the pastries from pideon whole and they are the best!! Honestly the best I have EVER had.
Do yourself a favour and get a coffee and party - you won’t be disappointed.
Also the staff are super friendly!

If you are after really really good coffee this is the place for you. I have enjoyed tasting coffee in over 50 countries & enjoy coffee here as much as anywhere. Staff & owners are warm & friendly & as a result this business thrives on repeat business.

We started our trip in Devonport, staying one night, and enjoying this cafe close by our hotel. The coffee and breakfast bagels we ordered were excellent. The atmosphere is very welcoming; open, nice artwork on the walls and good buzz about the place.

This is the place to go for coffee in the Devonport area. Best coffee we’ve had for the last three weeks touring around the North of Tassie. I had the avocado bagel and it was as good as it looked. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Very modern and edgy.

Nice cosy cafe for early breakfast. Nice coffee and great sandwich. The mushie pressed sandwich was fantastic. Lots of people coming in for their morning but. Great if you are looking for breakfast after disembarking from the Spirit of Tasmania.

Hands down, the best coffee in Devonport & the North West Coast. The staff are super friendly & chilled, and always have a smile for you. You can tell they're adored by all the locals when you see how many regulars come in every day!
The coffee is perfect - smooth, just the right temp, & they offer a great range of alternative milks. And the food - wow. Small menu, but everything is absolutely spot on. The haloumi bagel is my favourite!

Had coffee on Saturday morning and the coffee was really bad. So hot it was impossible to drink and this burnt it so much that once it had cooled, the taste was so bad we both binned it.

Well done guys for running such a great cafe: coming from Melbourne (where coffee is at its best:) I was impressed: great coffee and delish brekki: the breakfast salad and haloumi bagel were so tasty...great start of our trip to Tassi:)

Just rolled off the boat from MEL and was dreading another McBreakfast! Luckily, I stumbled on Fundamental Espresso.
The incredibly professional and friendly crew were a sight for sore eyes, open super early to boot.
Served my favorites coffee (AllPress) and made me the most incredible Reuben Sandwich.
Can't rate this place highly enough. Secrets out though - all the locals have worked it out, which makes it all the better.
Great music too. Thanks a lot guys - I'll be back!

This place is amazing , great vibe , super friendly staff , the most delicious bagels ever and great coffee too ! We went there twice during our trip to Tassie and would definitely go back again.

Fundametal is a great place for coffee. The staff are really friendly and if you are regular, they like to know your name. You can sit down and enjoy a small varitey of food for breakfast or lunch or enjoy some delicious pastries. Seating is limited but is well worth the visit.
