Been here a few times over the years and the quality does vary. Sometimes it's good but sometimes it's mediocre. The last time I was here the food took a long time to come out and it was not really worth the wait.

After leaving the Spirit at 6:30 we thought we might just book into a van park and catch up on some sleep. No nothing was open. we were hungry of course and the only shop we found open was this Kit Kat Cafe. Thank heaven for the Kit Kat Cafe we all say

During the day this place is fine, but went there at about 6.30pm and was not good. Was placing our order and the lady taking our order just walked away before we finished. I said "um" and she said was there anything else to which we then finished our order. It took 23 minutes to get our order (which was chicken chippees, chips and gravy, dim sim, potato cake and wing dings. My daughter had been in the previous day and ordered chicken chippees and heard someone ask how many in a bucket and was told 16. We had 11 in one and 12 in the other and they were overcooked. When I tipped the gravy out of the container it came out in one gelatinous blob and barely warm. Everything had to be reheated in microwave when we got home. Would get lunch here when the Bae Marie's are full and a constant turnover of food. Would never go to get it freshly cooked. Service was terrible, very slow, food overcooked and not hot and ripped off with incorrect portion amounts.

After desperately craving fish & chips for some time, my partner & I called in for a piece of flake each, and chips, which we were planning to enjoy by the beach.
Well, the chips were good (possibly a little oily but that's ok). But the so called 2 pieces of 'flake', which we unfortunately paid $17 for, were the most disgusting, flavourless, oily, processed, reconstituted inedible mush we've had the misfortune to purchase - ever! YUK YUK YUK!!! (Rubbish bin was probably happy). I'm not sure on which planet anyone can imagine this is in any way ok! It would be far better to say Flake is unavailable than try to pass this rubbish off on unsuspecting victims. We certainly weren't warned! Seriously! So, so disappointed and will be spreading the word!
In saying this, the girls working at the time were lovely, but the owner needs to take a good hard look at his 'business model'. Yes, they may sell a lot of this garbage each week, but my guess would be next to no repeat customers as they are probably predominantly Spirit passengers. Grrr!!😡

We had pizza from KitKat a month ago when we arrived in Tasmania. They were delicious!
Thought we'd go back this evening, and try the fish and chips. I'd been hanging out for a nice piece of fish all day.
This is what I got! $8 for a dried up, inedible yellow piece of who knows.....

We ordered flake the piece was soooo small and first cut into it smelt something horrible and tasted disgusting would advise anyone to get fish the chips were so-so

Seriously the best pizza and pizza base in town. Loaded to the brim pizzas. Fish and chips great. Extremelly cheap delivery charges for delivery.

I order, get it delivered and the taste of these pizzas is amazing. Also have ordered fish & chips and they are fantastic also. Couldn't complain at all.

The worst pizza I have ever had. Was definitely not made fresh, probably sat for hours
before I had the misfortune of buying it. More like cardboard. To add insult to injury the establishment charged an extra 50 cents to the $17.50. for using a debit card - I mean - in this day and age, really?
Honestly people - look at the pizza before you pay, if I’d done that I would have told them where to go with the pizza.
I would have taken the thing back but feel so angry I don’t want to risk a confrontation. They would not survive with the slightest competition.

This place is awesome to relax and chill out. A wide range of food to choose from, and the staff is very courteous and lovely. Not far from the Spirit Of Tasmania and there’s also free wifi.

We were peckish mid morning, early start ..... passing by the Kit Kat Cafe, called in for a munch. Husband ordered the steak burger and I chose the ham burger. The steak burger was just delicious, did a trade at half time. Recommend the steak number hands down.
