Great atmosphere enhanced by a HUGE chimney with back to back log fires. The dining area is very large and we were told that bookings were only required in peak times such as Easter or long weekends. The lady who served us at the bar was really extra friendly, describing the meals and the best priced ways to buy drinks... More

A beautiful traditional pub, worth stopping in for a drink or meal. Staff were very friendly. Beautiful, big open fire place. They welcome people in caravans and campers.

We were staying at the Pumphouse and travelled to the pub for dinner on the second night of our stay, friendly service - and the curry is truly worth the trip

Sri Lankan curry for lunch in the hotel on the way south. Wow! What a treat! We phoned ahead to order our curries for 6 friends. Staff and amazing chef, Ima, were very obliging and we were certainly not disappointed. Thanks once again!

This is an excellent spot to take a break from driving the winding road. The facilities are clean and the staff are very friendly. Food is good too. (Business is currently for sale as owners wish to retire. There is also the opportunity to build accommodation which the plans have already been approved by the shire.)

Ima's curry is to die for. Second time here having been recommended by my wife. Would drive from Hobart just to have his curry. We will be back for sure. Mike Briggs

Marvellous hosts and talented Chef. The curries are amazing. Lots of entertaining stories about the locals and the area. Beautiful building inside, something you would expect to see in the Switzerland. Gigantic double sided fireplace. Comfortable beds.

Dropped in for a quick drink on our way past. Nearly cried - $25 for two local Tassie apple ciders! Pub is nice but lacks character. Didn't have a meal but would have if the grog was more reasonable - have drunk much cheaper in remote NT.

Had a lovely currey, a specialty of the chef. Roast was ok. Nice old pub with good welcoming feel. Pays to offer free camping to encourage patronage
