An 8pm Firday night call and we were welcomed with open arms. Booked for 8 and 6 more came along, staff quickly swapped tables around and the kitchen looked after us without issue. Too many times you are told the "kitchen is closing" but these guys were great. Food was simple and filling.

Welcomed through the door as always, our host said" I'm glad you came in, we have pork ribs". To think that she remembered what I asked for last time we dined there is a credit to her, always accomodating, my ribs were amazing & the King Island Scotch melted in your mouth, Thank You Mallee Grill

We can't beat The Mallee for quality, value and service. Beautiful meals EVERY TIME, we choose The Mallee as often as we can, highly recommended. Wednesday is Parmi special for just $15, including your choice of veges from the self serve, lunch or dinner!

Had a good feed on the 2nd of feb with a bunch of mates and was very pleased with the more then generous serve of schnitzel and chips with a smokey bbq sauce. Highly Recommend

Nothing great to write here, the jalapeno poppers weren't made from jalapeno's, it was a mixture then crumbed, only some of the beef is cape grim so read the menu carefully, salad bar doesn't have many options, a couple of pastas, potato salad was very bland, tomatoes were as hard as little rocks, beans smelt like ants, less than average.

Some years ago the quality had declined and we avoided the place, especially with the increasing numbers of dining options on the NW Coast. Today on the spur of the moment we decided to try it again (mainly due to positive trip advisor reviews), and we weren't disappointed. While there wasn't much choice for my vegetarian partner, the quality of... More

The Mallee Grill in Burnie is unique in that the steaks and salad/hot food bar combination is a real winner every time we visit. Wednesdays is PARMI Special, lunch or dinner, WITH all the sides you like for only $15, steaks are superb, staff is friendly, we highly recommend you try for yourself.

My husband and I are here last night. We both had burgers, which were too well-cooked for me, but I totally understand their health concerns. All main dishes come with salad bar, which makes them quite reasonable. Great variety in the salad bar, and excellent service.

Its more of a pub food, overpriced I have to say, rather than restaurant quality food. Eating area open to the next door pub. Prices for a steak more in par and in some instances more expensive than a fancy restaurant or a proper steakhouse!! I paid nearly $40 for steak and couldn't eat it- very chewy and hard !... More
