Lovely large and clean restaurant with a great variety on the menu and quick service. Would recommend highly.

Earlier in our Tasmanian holiday, some people talked unflatteringly about Burnie and about Hellyers Road Distillery. One said that Hellyers Road approach their whisky-making like a profit-driven factory, focusing more on quantity than quality. With the negative remarks about Burnie, I expected it to be...More

Dear Schalk, Thank you so much for your insightful post - we really appreciate your honest appraisal. We are naturally saddened to learn that there are people out there who unjustifiably demean our city and our business - Tasmania is a very parochial State, sometimes...More

As well as lunch you can also do whiskey tastings and a whiskey tour, very personalised. We went to fill in time while one of us was waiting to get married, and it was just ideal, just enough relax and just enough adrenaline. One of...More

We had a beautiful lunch here on our way to the west coast. My husband was delighted he got the opportunity to sample the locally made whisky

I returned again and had an enjoyable meal (Hellyers whiskey marinated Scotch burger). Other meals at the table were enjoyed also. Look forward to more whiskey tastings again next time and stocking up the bar shelf!

My wife, MIL and I went here for lunch and really enjoyed the experience. The menu was vast and had a great selection, the service was polite and friendly and the wine list was all Tasmanian and very good......we were not disappointed. Great vistas over...More

We (two whiskey loving couples who have enjoyed other such tours both in Tassie and around the world) looked forward to a fun tour exploring this relatively new distillery. Although the guide was friendly, knowledgeable and fun, we all thought the tour was disappointing. It...More

Hi Martha, thanks for taking the time to post. As we only brew and distill once each week it is not possible to show visitors the whole process in a 40 minute tour, not to mention the OH&S implications of having visitors climb steep stair...More

Staff were very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The tasting prices were reasonable, with the cream liqueurs only $3 each. There was a lovely gift shop and you can also eat here, which was a popular option. We joined the club to get better prices.

Venue looked very nice online, looked very nice as we walked in the door. Whilst we were dressed very respectably, clearly we didn’t exude wealth. Stood around waiting to be seated at the cafe for a good 10 minutes and were ignored by all and...More

We took the Whisky Walk with tastings at Hellyers Road Distillery. We were running a little late, so I called up to let them know and the tour guide (Bianca) was particularly helpful and understanding. The tour itself was very interesting. It was information heavy...More
