Driving through Bridport and we noticed a sign for the Tassie Scallop Fiesta which was going to be held the following day in the park across the road from the shops. We had never tasted a scallop pie, though had heard a great deal about...them, so thought this would be a great time to try one. Our enquiries in the newsagent as to where we might find a good scallop pie led us to the Bridport Cafe which is situated in a great location overlooking the park and ocean beyond. Menu certainly did include a scallop curry pie under the sign of "Award Winning". We ordered a Potato, leek and bacon soup as well as the scallop pie which came with chips and salad. As this was our first scallop pie we had no comparisons as to how it rated but it was certainly quite full, appeared to have a reasonable number of scallops in it and was fairly tasty. I probably would have preferred a savoury version without the curry if that had been on offer. The soup and salad were very tasty also. Service was friendly and efficient. You ordered at the counter and they delivered the food to the table.More

Great little cafe

Bridport cafe is situated with a lovely view overlooking the bay. The coffee is good & the scones, jam & cream delicious. Good service too.

Poor Experience

This cafe has a great location and a captive audience as there appears to be limited choice for an early coffee in Bridport. Twice they got our very simple order incorrect, coffee was luke warm and not enjoyable, bacon so overcooked you couldn't cut it...with a knife and the walnut cake was so cold it seemed it was still defrosting.More

Late lunch

Stopped here for lunch on a Sunday. It was close to 2 pm and in our experience many country-town cafes have already shut their doors by then. So, points for being open for diners at that time! The menu was fairly limited, but it was...fine for us as we were happy to go with filled rolls. The rolls came out of the refrigerated cabinet, were generous with their ingredients and tasted as though freshly made. The coffee was good, too.More

Searching for my daily coffee fix

Staying in Bridport and needing my coffee. A few cafes to choose from, glad I chose a good one. Latte was good. Good temperature too. Went there again today for takeaway, consistent with yesterday’s coffee. Also noticed a batch of scones fresh from the oven,...although I did not try one, I would have. Maybe next time. A nice trendy little cafe in Bridport.More

The only review you need

Incredible food. haven’t seen my family in 10 years came here for lunch. Couldn’t get a word out because the food was so good! Someone give the chef a medal! I’ve never had a pulled beef burger that good! Exquisite

Good breakfast

Great location, good food and speedy service. We went on Sunday morning and we’re very pleased with the ease and speed of ordering/eating in. There was a mix up with one order and they quickly remade the correct item.

Great coffee & breakfast & friendly staff

Fantastic coffee & breakfast in the deck in the sun. We ate here both mornings while camping at the Seaside Caravan park. Highly recommend a stop here

Australia 🇦🇺 Day - Lamb Roll and Gravy (what else)

My wife and I enjoyed our Lamb Rolls at lunch on Australia Day. Very fitting way to celebrate and the food was great with generous serving of meat and tasty gravy. Our coffees were equally good. Long Weekend visit.

Very busy cafe, the food was excellent, Smashed Avo quite tasty. The coffee has a good flavour, be prepared to wait a little for your order.
