The view sets the atmosphere so straight away this place is a winner. Good indoor and outdoor seating and friendly staff to make your visit very pleasant. We had the seafood platter for two and a glass of wine each and didn’t get much change from $100 so a little expensive but super delicious. Hot and cold fresh seafood served with salad and chips so didn’t go home hungry. They had a specials board but Friday being popular only had garlic bread for $4. They also had a lunch menu.

What a fantastic steak meal on a Monday night. For $20 this is without a doubt one of the best meals I have had, this food would put a lot of very high ends restaurants to shame. Great service from the maitre d, great views of the Tamar River. I would highly recommend this Hotel to all people visiting the Tamar region a must for the tourist. The friendliness of all the staff, what a pleasure to find such a place.

Too much deep fried on seafood platter. The prawns were terrible pre shelled frozen ones and they were sitting in mayonnaise. Mayo and tartare sauces were the sides. Skip the mayo and make the effort to make thousand island dressing for a seafood platter. Would like more fresh or grilled ingredients as all the oil from deep frying was just too much and I didn’t even touch the chips.

Well what a terrible experience we had. We got there for lunch and there was only a small handful of people there but the service and cleanliness was terrible. I understand that people need to learn in a job and they can be in training, but people should not be left alone if they aren't trained properly in their job. 🟣 the table next to us had their meals delivered and were still waiting on their drinks and had to ask for them 🟣 the request for a high chair took forever to arrive at the table, when they knew we needed one when the table was first organised 🟣 an alive ant and a dead ant in two separate glasses for our drinks then the next glass had lipstick on it 🟣 the wrong meal was delivered to the table - lucky little there was no allergies 🟣 the staff comment 'trust it to be her' obviously as they knew that everyone that could go wrong was happening to me. It was an absolute rude and ignorant comment. The only bonus was the Manager offered to refund the incorrect meal price. As tourists, to say we were disappointed is an understatement. Very, very disappointed

When we walked in we expected a regular pub experience. We went to the end of the bar near the blackboard menu and the waitress greeted us happily. We asked if we could eat on the verandah and as it was packed inside and a bit noisy. "Of course" the waitress replied "and we have a great special today. She described the scallops wrapped in bacon with some others extras crumbed served with salad and chips. We were sold, and not disappointed with they arrived. There was nothing left on our plates. The sky provided it own show as the sun set while we ate our dinner. A wonderful evening. Thank you.

We’re never disappointed at The Waterfront and Sunday’s visit was no exception. Staff were super friendly and accommodating especially seeing as we hadn’t booked ahead and they were very busy. We got lucky as a table had just left, they were quick to have it cleaned to seat us which we appreciated. Meals were delicious as always and great value, the bruschetta is always a favourite of ours, it came out nice and warm and everything went down a treat 👌

9 of us went for dinner on Monday night, all tables were full, which was a great sign, especially on a Monday Night. Staff were all helpful and pleasant. Meals were great, flathead was fresh and so tasty, 4 had steaks and they said the were cooked perfectly, plus being Monday they were only $20 the extra for the sauces/gravies. Lovely outlook over the river, there is a great deck but was a bit cool to be outside, dogs permitted on the deck too. Will definitely be back

Mostly good. Hadn't been there for a while. Have eaten there several times over the years. Even though we arrived at 1.30 the place was alive with people. There appeared to be some sort of party happening with a mix of noisy adults and children. Was well after 2pm before we got our meal but luckily we weren't in any rush. Plenty of yummy choices although prices are getting up there with mains averaging around $30. We had a free main course offer on our Entertainment App.. got to love that. My wife's stuffed chicken breast meal was delicious apparently. My beer battered fish and chips (flake) with salad was also very nice but there was a lot of oil coming out of the batter when I cut the fish. Our chips were very crispy, overcooked for some perhaps, but fortunately I like them that way. Salad was ok. With plentyof dressing. It is a lovely location with a great outlook. Staff were friendly.

Beauty Point is a pleasant town on the western bank of the Tamar estuary about 40km north of Launceston. The hotel is located on the foreshore with excellent water views from the dining area. Our food choices were all excellent and reasonably priced (as was the alcohol, as you might expect in a hotel-situated restaurant). Although obviously popular (bookings highly recommended) the tables are sensibly placed to avoid any feeling of crowding. The seafood platter for one (my choice) was a satisfying feed, although I thought the underlying salad was a bit excessive. Off-street parking is available. Platypus House and Seahorse World are just over a km up the road and worth visiting while you're in the area.

Asked if coriander in Thai beef salad , was told no, upon eating it was obvious that if not in salad definitely coriander in dressing, meat was coated in it. Told waitress who said she would check walked away shaking her head and never returned. Really annoyed I paid for a meal I couldn’t eat. Also my partners parmigiana could have done with a little less time in deep fryer. We will not be returning any time soon

We were very pleasantly surprised by the wonderful menu which caters so well for All Diners, including those with different food requirements. I was able to enjoy a really delicious meal and the difficulty lay in making the choice from the wide range of options. Service was friendly and professional. The restaurant owner even came to check that our meals were to our liking. Our response was very positive. We were randomly placed at one of the best tables beside the windows giving us the view of the marina. Our only regret is that we weren’t in the area for long enough to return to sample more. Prices- very reasonable for the size and quality of the meals. We highly recommend Beauty Point Waterfront Hotel Restaurant. 04/03/23

We were assigned a room down a dark alleyway which had no lighting, so hard for us oldies to navigate. We also found the toilet bowl was loose. The room was clean with the usual jug etc. Julie, the owner was very helpful and we changed rooms the next night and also found that sensor lights had been fitted. We ate at the restaurant a couple of times, the food was good but overall a little pricey.

I havnt been to this pub for a meal for a while (6 mths), and I am very sorry I went back, mine and my wifes meals were shocking. I had flathead that was fried up till it was dry, my wifes calamary was floury and dry and tasteless. DONT EAT HERE.

Wow. My husband and I had a day to kill after checking out of our accomodation in Ulverstone and having to catch the spirit of Tasmania that evening. We decided to head to the beauty point hotel for lunch after a stop at Beaconsfield. We were glad we did. Firstly the view really is beautiful as well as relaxing. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, also observed them to be hard working, cleaning and resetting tables promptly. The duty manage was a lovely young lady who was happy to listen to stories from our 3 weeks in Tasmania. We decided on the lunch specials. I had the panko prawns and my husband had the scallops, both served with chips and salad, Both our meals were very fresh and delicious. We each had a glass of wine which were very reasonably priced as well as a coffee after lunch, the coffee was again well priced and good quality. Our only complaint is that we cant just pop back for a meal as we live in Brisbane. However if we get back to Tasmania will definitely re visit.

Great location with excellent views across Tamar River to Bell Bay from all of the rooms and onsite parking The mangers were friendly and quickly checked us in (3 people travelling and each had a room). All the rooms were clean and tidy with all the normal requirements with quiet air conditioning. We all agreed that whilst rooms had had a basic paint & re-carpet recently they were were a bit tired - showers etc were circa '80's and need a full refurbishment We ate and drank in the bar - good pub food!! All agreed we would probably stay again, unless something better opens in the town.
