Three dined on the very limited menu .I had toasted silverside and brisket sandwich with chips ,one had Club Sandwich with chips and one Smoked Chicken Caesar Salad .
The meals were good ,nicely presented .and plentiful .The Caesar Salad was especially good .No room for sweets .Together with two coffees and fruit drink the total was $77.40 .
For a Sunday lunch in such nice atmosphere ,and lovely outlook this was most reasonable
The menu is lacking in kids meals ,and not a great choice overall .
The staff are most friendly and helpful ,.
There is a lift for those who can’t manage stairs.
Whilst it is a cafe it does not really cater for cafe fare .

Had an unreal burger and the BLT was also worth coming back for. Ask for the kids menu if you need it, they are really accommodating for kids!

Great view, what a pity we couldn’t access the veranda all doors locked, very disappointed that the Cormorant catch consisting of calamari, prawns and fish was all frozen fare, so I was informed after asking! How strange in the setting we were in, so I ordered the burger & chips it was quite nice although the egg was runny making it so soggy you had to use a knife & fork to consume it, my wife had the Brie quiche with chips and salad which apparently was very tasty, we also had 2 coffees which were not very hot & a tad weak, it wasn’t the greatest experience, but we’ve had far worse, we will return at some point in time, there is a lift for the disabled or elderly, the staff were pleasant, & ample parking, the cost was $48.

We had lunch today and yes, the food was OK, not startling but OK. However they lost 2 orders for drinks and we had the rudest service we have ever had trying to get our drinks. We have never ever been treated like this anywhere else in the world and we are very well travelled. The attitude telling us we had never ordered drinks when we did and paid for them. Miraculously at the end of the day we got our correct drinks once they found our order 45 minutes after ordering and after our meal.

Hi Steve,
First and foremost, we apologies for the service you experienced,
We strive to continue to provide great service and there is no excuse for the error that experienced on our part.
One particular staff member who was working that day is normally held with high regards from the many other reviews that some fantastic people was kind enough to leave, doesn't normally work upstairs and is not very experienced in the cafe area.
We've spoken about the incident and we will work harder to make sure this sort of confusion doesn't occur again.
We hope this one negative experience doesn't lower our normal standards, as the many thousands of people who have come through this establishment have talked about the staffs fantastic customer service.

We are very sorry to hear such a negative response, As someone who works with the staff I do know how much effort is put into making sure the business is cleaned (both in the traditional sense and still complying with Covid-19 measures)
We are currently in the process of adding additional hours to our cleaners to ensure a nice clean, safe and healthy environment for our customers.

When we arrived for lunch we were told that apologetically by the staff that they were only serving a limited menu - toasties - as the chef had decided not to turn up that day (something that clearly has happened before) and that toasties was all that the staff knew how to prepare.
The staff were trying to do their best in the circumstances despite the constant irritation/complaints from customers. The operators given their decision to keep the cafe open probably could have done more - like purchased pre-prepared food from a local supplier that staff could have sold.

Dear Dingo dude,
I understand that this may have been frustrating to you and apologise for that. It has not happened all that often here but occasionally even when you have more than one chef it can happen. I would like to put it into context for city based people. In this small town, half of the cafe's have closed in the last 12 months. Businesses are running on empty and there is not a large pool of potential skilled staff to call on, so keeping that in mind when you decide to make a review would be appreciated from our end.

First floor restaurant...lift broken... disabled person in our party managed to make it up the stairs only then to be told they weren't serving food....at lunchtime!!! Food was being eaten by others so at some point they were serving food. Apart from being disappointed that we couldn't eat what's really very poor service is that there were no signs...a simple sign to notify us that food wasn't being served would have saved us the effort to go upstairs.
Well done Tassie. Awesome...never miss up an opportunity to mess up the basics!

We are indeed very sorry for your unfortunate experience here. It is not what we would hope for and what you have said about a sign is very reasonable. As I recall, it was an incredibly busy day, (long term records indicate it is our busiest day of the year on average) and it may have been that the Cafe was actually full at the time you visited (lunchtime).
Regarding the lift, we were devastated that it broke down a couple of days before Christmas requiring parts to be brought in, and as anyone in business knows, it is basically impossible to get a technician at short notice to assist at that time of year. We are very sorry that you were impacted by these issues.

First off we were super impressed with the views, and once our food arrived we were impressed again - I had the silverside and brisket sandwich with fries and my husband had the club sandwich and both were delicious! All staff had great customer service as well.

Breathtaking views that go on for ever......
Being a vegan and also caffeine free, I am a difficult coffee customer. I had a delicious coffee, exactly as I like it.
