Great Coffee, curry scallop pies to die for and friendly, prompt service. The outside eating area is great for a bit of fresh air and to stretch your legs!
We stopped by for a light breakfast before visiting the nearby Heritage Centre & Museum. Very unpretentious exterior but the steady flow of locals through the door was a clear indication of this cafe being the place to go. Very friendly service. We had the...Cornish pasties and coffee and both were top class. Don't miss this place when you're in Beaconsfield.More
Having heard about a scallop pie, I decided to try one and it was quite good. The pastie was also nice and loved the French vanilla slice. Very nice staff.
We have been staying in the area for about a month this bakery is amazing cakes and coffee are fantastic, staff are friendly and the young girl there has our order done before l have ordered it at the counter,a very lovely girl. We will miss...it when we go home but we will be back.More
As a lover of the humble Cornish pastie I can confidently say this place has Tasmania's finest Cornish. I ate pasties at over 50 locations throughout the state and I had to walk back in for another. The pastry was flakey and delicious and the...filling even better. Coffee, hot chocolates, pies and pastries also get the nod of approval from others.More
So, it was past the normal lunch hour when I stopped here. I wandered in wet (external) and just really needed a coffee and something to eat. The service was rather ordinary ... not unpleasant... just un-Tasmanian. Everyone was so friendly in Tassie that it...comes as a shock when you get ordinary service. I ordered my lactose-free coffee and pie and sat at a table. There were only two tables inside but they do have tables outside. I was surprised, pleasantly so... the pie was really good. The coffee was quite drinkable as well. I would most definitely return here.More
Called in for lunch on a wander along the Tamar trail. Saw they had pasties so decided to give them a try. They had Cornish Pasties ( I asked the difference and told carrot) so my wife and I had the normal pasties. First word...was flaky - wonderful flaky pastry with fantastic filling.a touch of pepper. I also had a steak and pepper pie and loved the balance of steak and gravy. Could sit outside with our dog was an added bonus.More
This bakery has established itself as on of the best in the Tamar Valley. The cakes are delicious, and the bread...ah well I can feel a salad sandwich coming on.
Can't drive past without stopping for a pie and coffee. Excellent wood fire pies, bread and cakes. Their prices are the best around. Really love everything about this place.
This bakery has all the Australian classics on sale, pies, pasties, sausage rolls, vanilla slices, lamingtons, cream puffs etc, good coffee and tea. i really enjoyed my lunch of pastie, vanilla slice and good strong tea. All were delicious and such a nostalgic event. I...almost felt young again. You can sit inside or outside. Cheerful staff, Dont miss it!More
Cakes are pretty good too. My partner's vanilla slice was superb and my apple turnover melted in my mouth. Will be back.
BAKERY GOODS APLENTY - HOT PASTRIES magnificent cakes and slices, fresh bread, top coffee etc made to order
The bakery’s fresh baked bread and cakes are very popular. We had a cup of flat white to go with our cake. Very nice, and fresh.
Wonderful coffee, tasty food, quick friendly service and very well priced. We stopped in here prior to our mine tour for morning tea. Lovely cafe with lots of freshly make cakes, slices and pies.
