Amazing dumplings just don’t be in a hurry!! This is a very popular restaurant (for obvious reasons when you finally get your food)so I’d recommend booking and being prepared for a leisurely meal!!

Such an unexpected find in the small town of Rylestone. Lovely dumplings across a broad range of protein options. Accompanied by beautiful teas. If you haven’t turned off the main highway to find a gem in a small town for a while, here is one...to treat yourself too. Will recommend. And be back again!More

Very busy even on a Tuesday morning, selection of Dumplings, set menu, and additional choice of pork, chicken or custard buns. LRge selection of Chinese teas. We drove down from Mudgee, about 40 kms and worth the drive. Indoor and outdoor seating, really need to book...ahead to ensure seatingMore

This place has a nice outdoor setting and that is it for the positives for me. Expensive at $3 per dumpling which you are not given a choice of dumpling like a traditional yum cha place that usually has a cart of goodies. Couldn't order...for 1 person. I thought I would just have some tea while the Mrs ate her minimum 6 dumplings for $18 but wouldn't let us do that either. Had to get takeaway on the way home. Not impressed ripped off and didn't choose.More

We went about 40 mins outside our route because we were told how great this restaurant was for Yum Cha and I have to admit it was well worth it. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the dumplings were to die for. Rylstone is...small town but the whole town has many heritage listed buildings and was nice to drive around. It is a small country town but worth a visit.More

The best dumplings I've had ANYWHERE. They were very busy and the first course took a little while to arrivebut wow were they worth the wait! The timing after that was perfect and the service was fantatsic. Don't miss these if you're in the area...and if you feel like really, really good dumplings, then make a day of it and head up to beautiful Rylstone. You won't be disappointed.More

I was planning a road trip for my wife and I which for the first three night’s would involve staying in Mudgee, one or our favourite little regional towns in NSW. I stumbled across an article, from memory it was in the SMH good food...guide, talking up 29 Nine 99. Given Rylstone was on our route to Mudgee I thought let’s give it a try based on the recommendation of SMH. The one thing I didn’t take adequate note of was to book ahead, it get’s busy. Well it does get busy, we just turned up and were very fortunate to get what was basically the only table available facing the street front. (Which was great). Great food, great ambience, great service and while I read some reviews which suggested there were issues around price and not being able to select what you wanted we didn’t have an issue. My wife and I had pre booked dinner in Mudgee so we just elected to choose the six serving dumpling course with Chinese tea given we couldn’t fill up too much. It was lovely. So glad we choose to experience this funky little venue which you would normally expect to find in a small regional town such as Rylestone. I don’t know whether it is the norm, but we had to pay cash so given we didn’t have any had to take the short walk to the nearby pub to use there cash facility to get obtain cash. As indicated, some reviewers seemed to take objection with not being about to personally select there choice of dumplings/food we didn’t have a problem we were happy to enjoy what was served up.More

Who would ever have expected to find authentic chinese dumplings in a tiny town near Mudgee. This place was recommended to us by the owner the B&B we were staying at in Mudgee. Great service, excellent food and a charming host. Could not recommend it...more highly.More

I would make a booking and ask at that time. This is a most hospitable restaurant and i feel sure that they will be accommodating. No harm in asking.
