Good beer, huge helpings of reasonably-priced food, and a range of beers including some craft. Live music some weekends

This hotel was recommended by the staff at our accommodation. Gulgong was quite busy and with Covid restrictions it is best to book a table. The food was good and well priced. No waiter service.

We did not have a meal here as we did not have a booking which is understandable given that it was a long weekend. Nevertheless, we stayed for a couple of drinks. The pub is an old hotel in a beautiful old town. There is...memorabilia on display above the bar and around the ceiling line of the hotel. Worth a visit if you are in GulgongMore

Waited too long for our meals! Steak over cooked, chicken parmigiana’s cold! My son couldn’t eat his chicken burger because it was over cooked. Vegetables were bland, you would expect better food with the pricing. Beer price was high as well unfortunately will not be...going back.! I strongly recommend going to the IGA across the road and getting hot chips.More

We had a relaxing lunch in the beer garden, our dogs were welcome. My pumpkin salad was huge and scrumptious. Husband didn't really like his nachos, as a bit bland and a small serving. Friendly staff.

It's good to be in a country pub and find an alternative to the usual pub food. When I saw a Persian bowl on the menu in the window, we were in. It was delicious, and I suspect the falafel was a frozen product, but...the quinoa salad it came with was delicious. My husband chases lamb cutlets around the country (pre covid) so now it's only NSW and he was not disappointment. Good chips and an excellent salad accompanied his cutlets. He was happy.More

A welcoming pub atmosphere with loads of character, local wines and a great cider. Would have like to have stayed longer as the food looked generous and yummy.
