We rented out the restaurant for a large group of 50 and the food was incredible. Buffet-style with authentic Mexican food. Everything was so good and fresh. The staff was really helpful. Set back away from town on the river.

The restaurant is a 15 minute walk from the Mira Mar across the concrete bridge. The restaurant was in a small community. We sat at a table overlooking the river. Lots of local activity going on complete with wandering chickens. We had the catch of the day. It was awesome! Very inexpensive and the portions were huge. The owner speaks... More

It's a little walk up the river which is a nice trip to get away from the tourists, and quiet on a weeknight. We were the only ones there until much later. We watched a fish come in off a boat into the restaurant so ordered that. It was one of the best fish meals I have ever had.

Outdoor eating spot, but covered from the direct sun and rain. Ordered the tortilla soup and thought it was the best I've ever had. Delicious food in a totally laid back atmosphere.

We had the most amazing huge coconut shrimp! How often can you say three shrimp was enough! I swear they were three ounces each, and moist and firm. Margaritas contained some serious punch. Service was great, and nice touch with the complementary tortilla chips and salsa.

Manguitos is a bit of a walk from the main part of the village but it's a scenic one and well worthwhile. The atmosphere is relaxed, the food fresh, and the drinks generous.

Pleasant dining room overlooking the river. Potent margaritas and delicious shrimp dishes. We had grilled river shrimp w/ garlic and coconut and pineapple shrimp which are sautéed with shredded fresh coconut, not deep fried. Accompanied by a nice salad, veggies and rice. Very delicious. Ate breakfast here also and it was excellent w/ freshly squeezed OJ

This was our 3rd trip to Yelapa, so we wanted to explore the town a bit more than what a day trip allows. We wandered up river, crossed the bridge, and came upon El Manguito's. Along the way, we were warmly greeted by locals, saw many animals, and scenery unique to Yelapa. Despite the fact the the entire town had... More

If you are in the mood for authentic Mexican food take the walk to El Manguito. Family owened restaurant, nice and very welcoming. The walkway to the restaurant begins behind main beach area restaurants and is a pleasant walk.

Don't miss this family-operated restaurant. Great location on the river and amazing food. Chili rellenos was the best I have ever tasted. Killer margaritas. You'll only need one!
