Great pub and accommodation . Rooms across the road from the pub were well appointed with a great slipper bath . Evening meal was well priced and staff were very friendly and helpful . Will stay again when in the area

Where to start having been working in and around brighton my work organised an overnight stay for me at this little gem.. If I was to say overall it was the best place I have stayed in the UK in terms of value, accommodation, food, staff... Very much a combination of village pub but with fabulous accommodation and staff that... More

We stopped here for lunch travelling home to Hampshire and were so glad we did. We had superb Sunday roasts with great service. Will definitely try and return soon.

Popped in for a quick drink, we don not live far from here and this was our first visit, landlady was brilliant so polite, it was raining so we couldn't use the garden seating which i would think in the summer would be lovely, a quiet pub, would come back A1 !!!

The pub had changed hands and the new landlady is so welcoming. Had a lovely meal with friends and we were very well looked after. Waitress Lisa was really cheery and helpful. Food was very good. We'll definitely be back

We stopped here on route to Brighton having been stuck in M25 traffic. Very easy to get to, pretty village and pub. Very friendly staff, child friendly, with a kids menu, although no accessible toilet, or changing facilities that I saw. The food when it arrived looked good, however the taste did not live up to the look, which was... More

We stopped here, after having a very long drive, to break the journey home. My husband knew the pub, but hadn't eaten there before. We were very impressed, the service was friendly and efficient, and the Sunday lunch was delicious. We would definitely return.

On the day in question, the pub was not especially busy but that is probably to be expected at lunchtime on a Monday. There is an outside area where we chose to sit for drinks but we moved into the dining room to... More
