Fantastic selection and quality of beer and they covered the international cricket on a big screen. It is also very good value for money and the staff are knowledgable and helpful.

Hello, I'm sad to hear of your experience at The Merchants. Our food service is an important part of the pub so this is a major concern we take seriously. I have investigated your complaint and there was a confusion on your order. Nonetheless, we...More

Great well kept beer, friendly bar staff and a welcoming atmosphere made visiting an unexpected treat. The pub was running a Titanic themed dinner evening which seemed well attended but I didn't feel unwelcome as a regular visitor. I'd make it my local if I...More

Stopped here for a couple of crafty lunchtime pints last week. Great staff, nice landlord, fab atmosphere, great selection of beers and the food looked good too. Can't wait to return🍻

Good beer and a great atmosphere. All international rugby matches are shown here and there are also special dining nights.

When I was told that my office Christmas lunch will be here, I wasn't too sure. When we arrived for our lunch (group of around 12), the place was quiet. We ordered drinks on the bar and were taken to our table. I was shocked!...More

There is a bar for the restaurant area and a more traditional bar with pop plenty of TV screens for watching sport. Guiness was good. Service was friendly, but the atmosphere lacked sparkle.

Good beer, good atmosphere. Came here with a few friends and enjoyed a good selection of beers. Definitely a rugby pub, so if you want to watch the rugby you can on their huge projector screen!!

Good old-fashioned British Pub serving the best traditional ales & ciders, continental beers, and delicious food. A must for any Rugby fan, this place is a mecca for locals looking to watch live matches. A fascinating pub with great locals, stacks of history, fantastic beer & food served by wonderful staff. What more could you ask for? - Oh and it's a stones-throw from where the game was invented!
