This whole meal was a complete shambles from beginning to end- and I really mean that! Things that they got wrong: 1. They showed us to the wrong table, and left before we realised that there were some people we didnt know sat on one end of it. So we had to go back to the start and ask again... More

This place used to be lovely, we used to frequent as it's out local. However, now the food is overpriced, the staff can be so rude, and the service in general is poor.

I arranged a family lunch at the Dun Cow following a pleasant previous visit, and once again I was very impressed. The venue itself if well located at the heart of the village, with ample parking. Inside they've done a very good job of fitting a modern restaurant into an old building, and maintained a good amount of character. We... More

Great choice of wines, spirits and soft drinks but food always a bit disappointing. Good atmosphere and service.

We stopped for lunch on the off chance and we were very pleased with our choice. The meals were very good and served promptly, despite the fact that the pub had been full. The service was excellent and very friendly. We hope to visit again soon. Highly recommended.

Large airy pub/restaurant offering traditional fayre - we had a duo of pate to share, duck salad and pie with cabbage and mash a (very small) side of fries and then sticky toffee pud with a coffee and pecan slice (small pud on their menu) with a couple of drinks for £50; charming waitress.

Negative points: the service was slow and the portion sizes were very small for the price. Plus points: Great interior, good size, high chairs available, lots of courtyard seating for sunny meals and drinks outside. Meals were great quality and a decent menu selection.

Used to enjoy coming here, not now. Food below average (though the prices seemed to have risen). Would have been 1 star but for the staff who were friendly. Definitely not coming back. Shame, used to like the place.

We had a great mid-week family dinner here recently. The lady who greeted us was aware that we required some extra space for a wheelchair, and really went our of her way to make sure we were looked after. The waiting staff were fantastic too - super friendly and professional. The food was great - you get plenty for your... More

Used to be our favourite local eatery but in the last 12 months the Dun Cow's service and the quality of food have both deteriorated. Will not be returning.
