Went to the Bat and Ball for dinner on Saturday evening. Booked a table as it can get very busy. You have to order your food at the bar which is no problem. Quite crowded but service very good. Food was great with lots of...More

Had not been here for a few years. Went for Sunday lunch and was disappointed to find that there was just one choice, lamb. The food was tasty and the lamb expertly cooked but overall we found the lunch a bit flat and there were...More

My partner and I had a casual supper here on an 'open mic' music evening. The, mainly young, staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and enthusiastic and looked after us very well all evening. Excellent food and I would definitely recommend the liver and mash. Will...More

Sunday lunch menu was most enjoyable and the friendly staff made a great afternoon. The Sunday roast was cooked to perfection and the beef casserole was a generous portion. Desserts were enjoyed by the kids.

My daughter is 11 and she loves to sing. My wife has a contact that arranged for my daughter to participate on open mic night. We arrived early and three things stood out. Firstly it was a challenge to find the pub, but it was...More

Booked in for a family meal of 7 on a Sunday and we all enjoyed some good flavoursome meals. All the dishes were cooked well although the avocado burger wasn't as tasty as the description had lead one of the party to believe. Also one...More

It took us four days to finally find this amazingly wonderful sounding pub in Farnham. Once found, however, all good....with a big jar of doggie biscuits for my favourite person Bella, our old, but beautiful, old black Labrador. She loved the pub, but, next time,...More

The Bat and Ball is a lovely little country pub that is family friendly and dog friendly. We have been here a few times with small groups and one particularly large group that the B&B handled amazingly. They were very accommodating and pleasant. The food...More

We had a nice family meal in this classic English country pub. Has a nice beer garden and a good play area for the kids. Food was quick and decent quality for pub food. Staff were friendly and all round was a positive experience.

I don't remember seeing any but I am sure there would be a suitable side in the Ladies! Perhaps try calling them.

Description
Your first time here you might find us a little difficult to find as the pub is down an un-adopted lane in the bottom of a valley, backing on to the Bourne stream. "The Bat" is a traditional country/village pub retaining the charm and atmosphere of what a pub should be. An open fire, panelled walls, nooks and crannies, hops hanging from the old oak beams, cricketing memorabilia and six shining brass hand pumps for ale. Outside there is a covered patio area with grape vines overhead and a large garden with flower borders, a children’s play structure and plenty of seating. There is also a large car park.We offer a good and wholesome selection of light snacks, main meals and a mouth watering selection of homemade puddings and desserts. All our food is cooked and prepared in house by our team.Crossing the generations ,the pub is a meeting place for all and you will be sure of a genuine welcome
