We were staying at a local B&B (faultless Trumbles) before flying out of Gatwick next morning. We met some friends who live locally for dinner and enjoyed a very pleasant evening. Imaginative food, nice wine, well presented and tasty, with welcoming and friendly service. Reasonably priced too. See you next time!

Wished I had taken photos of the food...excellent presentation tasted wonderful....staff were pleasant and very friendly! Really well set out plenty of nooks to sit...very tasty. We meant to go here last year and was recommended by Manor House B&b who I can't praise enough for quality and price either. We ended up at another place which we thought was... More

Unless you're a local you may need your satnav however either way it's worth a visit being cosy and friendly. Good pub fare with realistic pricing and excellent service it proved an ideal venue for a pre flight meal being located close to Gatwick.

My wife and I went for dinner here today 2/2/2017 what a lovely place be careful you could miss it as it's tucked down a little one way Street. If we hadn't seen it just in time, we would have ended up in the Hungry Horse. Thank God we did as it was great food, great beer, and great staff.... More

Absolutely fantastic Sunday roast. Impromptu visit on a Sunday lunchtime, they managed to squeeze us is. Lovely warm atmosphere, few locals at the bar with dogs in tow. Exactly what you'd expect and want from a country/village pub Friendly staff, more than happy to help. Tasty starters and a brilliant home cooked style roast. Couldn't ask for more.

Difficult to find down a side street, parking on the roadside only ( one way street). We thought of having lunch but the menu was expensive and the only diners were a large table with an unhappy baby. Wheelchair accessible and separate loo; they have highchairs and cater for children. We had a drink in the pub section which is in... More

My friend, Helen, and I often lunch in and around the local area and on Monday 23rd January we chose the Half Moon to celebrate her birthday. We have lunched at the Half Moon many times and were looking forward to it. We both chose the bacon and brie with cranberry, with Helen going for ciabatta bread and I opted... More

We took our family for a birthday lunch celebration but had not realised that they did not offer the whole menu or at least the daily board choices at lunchtime. The lunch menu is extremely limited and the food was very average. It was an extremely cold day, last Saturday, and the dining room was extremely cold with absolutely no... More

This is a real old fashioned pub near Gatwick but obscurely located in a small village so no tourists from the Airport. We had a great meal and superb service. Will definitely go there again when travelling from Gatwick. A breath of fresh air.
