Hungry, stuck on the M42 (again) and not wanting to grace the Services, I headed for Tamworth with curry on my mind. Following satnav the Royal Bengal was the first to hove into sight. Hunger overcame the lack of firm direction up stairs and the pink walls. I was greeted in a friendly manner and served quickly - the food... More

I ordered a takeaway after reading the reviews. I had to keep ringing as it was late. When it did arrive the complimentary poppadums were stale, the chicken tikka starter contained 4 minut very dry pieces and the naan was cold. I phoned and spoke with the manager who told me to throw it in the bin and put the... More

Visited with my wife early doors, only ones in the place. Manager was really friendly and polite. Minus points- £4 for a pint of Cobra and a glass of tap water I consider to be expensive, the same is to be said for 60p for a popadom. My samosa starter was almost like the party size ones you get from... More

Food and service both excellent. Highly recommended. Not much to see from the outside but once inside it is great.

Didn't get our main course till 9.. We left at 10:30 but we're not moaning cause we was in good company. But if your on a awkward first... More

To start the food was fantastic however the issue we had was with the service. All started well however when my sons coke came out totally flat we politely asked for it to be exchanged to which they said no problem and gave him the same drink as our other son (j20) then after the meal they charged us £3... 1st visit to this lovely hidden Gem in Tamworth Town. A lovely family owned business, where 2 brothers greeted and waited on us for the evening. The service was friendly and attentive without being over powering, efficient but not rushed. We ordered off the menu but they were happy to tailor to our own requirements A definite regular revisit planned... More

I'll start off by saying I've only ever had one meal inside the restaurant. As I was with a group of friends on a Stag night, I really can't recall if the food was good, bad or average, I do believe the place looked clean and well furnished, but this review isn't about dining in the Royal Bengal, it's about...
