The food and service were second to none once again. We don't go out often but this is always our first choice for the best food. We all had different starters and mains and all were excellent. Couldn't fit in a pudding! The staff are lovely and always professional and attentive without being overbearing. We shall return!

The team at the Red Lion have never failed to deliver. You're always greeted with a warm welcome by whoever you meet and the food never has never been anything but delicious; the selection of gin is also a major selling point! What I most like about the pub is that you are made to feel welcome in whatever state... More

Stopped off by chance whilst passing through. Very comfortable feel to the place with a lovely glowing log burner . My husband a I chose chicken burger with Brie, bacon and cranberry sauce. It was presented really nicely and delicious. Our daughter had the homemade burger with chorizo and cheese. Accompanied with homemade chips mmmmm!! Very plentiful. We will definitely... More

We LOVE The Red Lion after discovering it 6 months ago when we moved to the area. Easily the best pub for miles for food, atmosphere & drink. Big bar area serving Rattler amongst many others, the chef creates specials daily which are always amazing. Their signature chicken is fabulous as are the homemade pies. Nothing at all bad to... Went here with my fiancee, part of our weekly date night. Recently there has been plenty of road works so they should be done soon. St George's park is close with nice facilities. This pub, has a feel of old fashioned with modern feels. We had to book as it tends to get busy at times, we shown straight to... More

The red lion is a great place to go for food. I went with my girlfriend for the steak night. 2 steaks for £30 can't grumble at that. I had the ribeye and my girlfriend had the sirloin. Cooked to perfection! and the chips are amazing. The starters were great as well.

We were at a conference at the St George's hotel which was 10 mins drive away. The food and drink was excellent, the decoration was lovely too. It must be popular as all tables were taken. I was glad we had booked. The only downside it was rather noisy at the tables and we couldn't hear ourselves talking.
