We were moored in the marina overnight so decided to go to the complex cinema. Afterwards we popped into The Waterfront for some light supper. Being a Monday evening it was very quiet. Decor is modern, clean and very pleasing. Although obviously not busy, the...More

We have visited Barton Marina many times, but until today we had not tried the Waterfront for food and drinks. We booked a table for six, for fathers, so expected it to be busy, and it was. However this did not stop the staff providing...More

Had a nice pitstop here. Service was very good and nice and quick. Great place (when it's not raining) to sit and chill watching the boats in the marina

Visited last month and there is a plaque stating children under 5 are not allowed in the resturant. I did think this was odd but can understand with the size of the restaurant which has many different rooms and also decking area outside close to the marina it would be hard to keep an eye on them. The atmosphere is very laid back, relaxed and definitely for adults. I can understand parents frustrations at under 5's not being allowed in but this surely doesn't affect business or quality of the resturant. There is plenty of other restaurants at the marina.

I'm really bemused by the other answers - certainly 6 months ago this was probably THE most child unfriendly place in the area! Even well behaved children were glared at by most staff and customers alike. If you're going... More
