THE HOME COOK CAFE, Porlock

We called here and were pleased to find it dog friendly. They are following covid rules, lots of sanitising and distancing. Nice cheese on toast and a lovely cuppa!

Friendly and clean

Had cream tea delicious staff were very friendly the cafe was very clean and tables and chairs were wiped down when we left

Mouldy cheese

My fiancé and I stopped to have breakfast before going on our walk, he ordered beans on toast with grated cheese on top and I ordered cheese on toast, the staff are friendly enough and the service was good but upon eating our meal my...partner noticed the grated cheese was green and on my cheese on toast , part of it was also green, my partner made the gentleman aware and he apologised and offered to make it again but after this we were totally put off , as it’s unacceptable that this was not checked before serving or even making, so we paid for our drinks and left and would certainly think twice before going there againMore

Very pleasant, good service

Stopped off for lunch on our travels from mid Devon. Good menu, nice food. Very accommodating as my wife had dietary requirements. Thank you very much. As we live 45 mins. away, no doubt we will visit again.

Lovely cafe, good fresh food with great service

My friend and I visited this lovely cafe on the bank holiday monday. What a lovely place. Also what very helpful staff who went out of their way to deal with my friends food allergies. It felt like it was no trouble at all. We...both loved our meal, which was very freshly cooked, very tasty and value for money. They were covid ready and the place was spotless. Would definitely ho back if we are in the area.More

Cream tea with the children!

Lovely polite staff, really friendly towards the children. Scones were super fresh and tasty! All the cakes looks delicious too, the children had a fudge cake and Victoria sponge and thoroughly enjoyed it!
