Good food, reasonably priced. Would certainly go back. Great place for lunch!
A few locals in the pub, but it was surprisingly quiet for a Friday bank holiday weekend.
Service was good. Great location in the centre of the town. Lovely old building.
Stopped for lunch with my husband, both ordered ham, egg and chips only £6.99 so I was expecting a small piece of ham and 1 egg, when it was served the ham alone was home baked, thick and over a whole large slice along with...2 eggs.although a simple meal it was delicious and eggs cooked perfectly. The gentleman behind the bar was very attentive and it was nice to see an elderly gentleman hobbling in and his pint was ready for him on the bar by the time he got there. So pleased we stopped here we will be back.More
Called in for lunch as a family. Husband and children all ordered fish and chips. Massive pieces of fish. So much so the waitress said if we couldn’t eat it all (looking at our children) she would get a box so we could take home!...My ribs and chicken were fine but nothing special.More
Just got back from a weekend stay. Had a room on the top floor. Clean and very comfortable, just what we needed after a day of exploring. Also had an evening meal. It was really good pub food. Nice selection of ales as well. The...breakfast the following day - excellent. Freshly cooked, easily one of the best I have had for a while. Very dog friendly as well. I would recommend to others and would not hesitate to stay again if in the area. Thank-you for an enjoyable stay.More
