This is the second time we have been to this pub. The food is plain but very well cooked and the service is good. I is part of the pub and it was wonderful to see the lovals coming in for a pint and bringing the family.

Thank you for your comments all the way from Australia. I am so pleased you have seen a British country village pub in operation and that you enjoyed your stay with here - it is so rewarding for us. I am afraid these traditional old inns are few and far between these days but we will try to keep The... More

Haven't been here for about ten years and it always did good food then. It still does. good quality food, freshly cooked by a very young chef. Landlady was very friendly and the meal was very good value for money. It was more arty ten years ago. now it is a real blast from the past. A good quality village... More

Popped into The Manor Arms with family and dogs for a quick drink and a bite to eat (dogs allowed in the bar no issue 👍🏻). Staff were welcoming and although we were late to order said it would be OK, we all decided that a sandwich would be enough. We do like a local pub but what wasn't so... More

Beautiful old traditional inn, located in heart of village with plenty of parking at rear. Lovely spacious bar area with open fire, and restaurant at far end. First visited on a quiet midweek Winter evening, greeted by friendly & welcoming landlady who offered us a quick snack, as due to time constraints, didn't have time to stop for a main... More

Really excellent meal of seafood lasagne with fresh vegetables and my partner had steak and ale pie with chips - delivered hot from the kitchen - great south west England ale from Cornwall

I visited recently with a work colleague and we were both impressed with the quality of food and service. This is a lovely village local with a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I especially enjoyed the gammon, which was superb value for money. Also, enjoyed the real ale (St Austell Trelawny), served in excellent condition. Already recommended the Manor Arms... More

Thank you for your kind words and please spread them around in your area if you can. We are struggling for customers at the moment so every recommendation is a real help to us. Our food is all locally sourced and freshly cooked to order and my husband is a keen "real ale" enthusiast and tries to keep as many... More

Only popped in for a drink as we were staying close by, but we won't be returning in a hurry.....it's definitely a place for the locals only. We felt like we were intruding on a committee meeting!

Teresa, I am so sorry you felt "unwelcome" for want of a better word. I can only offer my sincere apologies and suggest you look back at previous trip advisor comments when we are noted for our friendly atmosphere. As it happens, yes there was a committee meeting in progress, as we are used my many village groups as a... More
