Hidden away just past the church and away from the road, this Visitor and Heritage Centre Cafe delivers a wonderful welcome. Very Dog friendly, we all enjoyed a treat or two. Our dog probably more than the human escorts with free treats + water. A good selection of food at inexpensive prices amongst the visitor leaflets and local artist sale... More

We called in for a cup of tea and cake on Friday and were greeted with the lovely sound of a piano playing in the corner. The cafe shares its premises with a museum and so there was so much to see surrounding the tables. The service was prompt (staff were summoned by ringing a small hand bell found on... More

Lovely little coffee shop with a beautiful courtyard. Nice menu, excellent service, and very good value for money. Only found it by accident but very glad that I did!

Always expect a warm welcome, great service and beautiful home made cakes. Great place for a sandwich and the salad and coleslaw served with it are great. A fine display of local craft gifts too along with the Information Centre, a must if you are visiting Oswestry.

We lunched here on a Saturday, and chose quite simple meals from the menu, although they do offer more adventurous plates we opted for a filled baked potato with salad and a quiche of the day with salad. My husband had ordered Shropshire Ham with Apple with the baked potato and was rather disappointed as it literally was chopped up... More

This is a really friendly place to take your dog.we took our tibetan terrier Archie and he was given water and biscuits and lots of fuss. We enjoyed coffee and delicious lemon drizzle cake. A lucky find we will certainly return.

This is the old Oswestry school and has some real heritage. A fascinating building too. This is rather better than a simple cafe. It seems to attract lots of visitors and walkers alike. The service is quick and friendly. The food was freshly cooked and was prepared with fresh ingredients rather than being 'mass produced'. The dishes we had seemed... More

We first visited the Heritage Centre last year, after trying to locate a dog friendly cafe whilst visiting Oswestry. We have returned to this gem of a place several times again this year. We have found the owner and staff so friendly and welcoming to both humans and canines alike. The old building has a wonderful atmosphere and is full... More

On holiday near Oswestry last week, we re-visited this lovely cafe with our two greyhounds. We always enjoy visiting this cafe whenever we are in the area. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and very friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for the owner and staff. Dogs and people alike are made to feel comfortable and 'at home'. The food is... More

My friend and I were passing through Oswestry on this rainy Bank Holiday Monday when we stumbled across this little coffee shop in the Oswestry Visitor Centre. The building dates back to 1407 and was full of atmosphere. Carol, the lady who served us was so friendly and very interesting to talk to. Would definitely call in there again if... More
