Such a pity. This could be fabulous. Staff are great but food not up to scratch. Prawn cocktail sauce almost certainly from a jar. Chips served cold so probably pre made off site and in our case hardly cooked. We sent ours back.

We stopped off here for lunch whilst holidaying on the canal. It was in a great position and the food we had was great - recommend the fish & chips.

Finally called here for Sunday lunch after driving past a sign for it on the Oswestry Road for months now. The pub is beautifully decorated inside and really comfortable. We also had brilliant service throughout the meal. Warm and friendly and efficient. It has the...More

Called in without a booking. Great Sunday lunch. Allowed us to take a dog. The food was really good and atmosphere was relaxed. So good, we stayed for most of the afternoon! We were on a narrow boat, moored up outside the pub. Highly recommended

Enjoyed a late lunch - good choice on menu and tasty food Great beer, good Guiness and chilled atmosphere. Variety of indoor seating and if weather is dry , lovely garden views.

We were recommended this place by a local. But for various reasons we were disappointed. A very nice pub sadly let down by the short notice of the chef leaving, this we discovered after the meal. The pub had been overwhelmed over the bank holiday...More

Our Head Chef was here all day and night Wednesday when you visited us twice that day so I am puzzled about your remark about his leaving. There is no reason ever to have a bottle of wine that is not to temperature preference any...More

I am sorry to hear about how our chicken burger extorted you to eat it. There is nothing more distressing for an owner then to learn of an "ate and run" in your own establishment. Please provide me with the details so I can report...More

Moored up for the night on the canal and had dinner in the Jack Mytton Inn on a Sunday night, on offer were many sandwiches and burgers but nothing in the way of normal pub food or even a Sunday roast. The Inn boasts about...More

I am so sorry that our prices and menu were not to your liking. At least our location and free moorings ticked the boxes for you. We are not a gastropub and we have never made that claim. We are an unusual Canal Side Pub...More

Thank you for visiting us and taking the time to share your experience. As a prior reporter observed, we could do better and that's what we strive for. Our menu is constantly changing with Old and New Favourites being added each week by a kitchen...More
