very pleasant friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Food served reasonably quickly despite there being a large party going on. Food was piping hot, wine sensibly priced and well selected. Overall an enjoyable evening in the converted chapel.

Really super!! Reserved a table, was a few minutes late getting there which they were lovely about. Shown to a booth style table which was very nice. Gave us a few minutes extra as we kept chatting and gave us a little glasses of homemade lemonade. Wow nice touch and most refreshing. All of our dishes were good fresh and... More

We've paid several visits to Ask in Abingdon. It's a great location, particularly when the sun is shining. The food has always been of a really good standard and the service is exceptional. For this visit we were served by Bart and Timea and they really couldn't do enough for us and they were so polite and friendly. This was... More

We went for the first time since the menu was changed. It was fantastic! My husband had pasta with lobster and prawns which he said was delicious and l had a perfect pizza. The desserts were amazing - a chocolate orange tart and a cake with olive oil. We had the recommended red wine which was lovely. The whole meal... More

Worked in this building for ten years, before it became a restaurant, when it was known as marketplace design. Whilst visiting family in Oxfordshire, I snuck in for a coffee. Much of the Wesleyian chapel period decor remains, the balustrade around the first floor atrium being largely unchanged. More famously, one of the masts from the mayflower, used as a... More

Abingdon ASK is in a renovated Methodist church. It's not as big as other ASK restaurants I've been in. What I liked is the kitchen is open plan so you can see where your food is prepared. We were instantly greeted and advised by the waiter would get a table ready for us. We didn't wait for long and the... More

We had a lunch here on a Saturday. Greeted and seated by a friendly manager and the free homemade lemonade was a nice touch. Antipasto for 2 to share....All delicious. Meatballs, calamari, mushrooms, zucchini fries....Plenty for 2 and presented well. For mains...a salad and a calzone. Good portions and flavoursome. All came in good time. We used Tesco vouchers to... More

Monday evening catch up with friends, nice to see a dedicated gluten free menu. I ordered the gluten free beef and Gorgonzola pizza, with a gluten free Peroni to accompany. Pizza was very tasty, base was nice and crisp, and the flavours of the mix of toppings worked really well. Friendly service too.
